Went here on a Saturday night. prebooked in advance which was good as it got very busy whilst we where there. The staff were very polite and efficient. The restaurant looks really good and you can imagine being in the caribbean quite easily. The menu is quite vast with lots to choose from for lots of appetites. Plenty of vegan and vegetarian options clearly marked. You can see where the cooks prepare the food which always gives me peace of mind. The only reason its not 5 stars is the bar had no drinks on tap. I saw the red stripe and was gutted when told not available. Apparently the cellar was too hot. Very surprised as it had been raining all day!!. A previous review had said they say this all the time.e in the hope you'll buy the more profitable cocktails. Guess ill never know. There is a multi storey car park very close which is free if you register your car at the restaurant. We chose the garlic pit prawns and pepper roti for starters. For mains it was Caribbean curry katsina and mo'bay chicken. We also had a virgin kolada mocktail and a jug of tap water. The bill came to £47.30. The food tasted really nice. Highly recommended and we will be returning.

I went there for a party. The atmosphere was pretty good and they had music playing in the background It wasn't that good, they were just playing just random songs, it would have been nice. If they were some soothing music. Then the food, we had ordered so many dishes as we were around thirteen people. I was expecting a bit of tasty food, I thought it was my bad because I'm not a carribbean and I'm not used to these kinds of tastes. But my friends who are actually Caribbean, said they didn't like it. So, it wasn't me. To my surprise the vegan options were pretty tastiest than the other meat dishes. Garlic bread was so dry and flat, I couldn't chew it. Cocktails were pretty good. There are not many mocktail options. The mocktails that I tried were not great. Then the ice-cream, we wanted to try ice cream and we ordered Vannila and coconut icecream, it was so bad that it felt like it was a sugar paste. Nobody ate the ice cream. The customer service was top notch. There was one lady who handled all of our orders smoothly. She was patient. She deserves a five star. Other than the service, ambience and the cocktails nothing was good.

Good atmosphere and service however I felt the food could do with some improvement in terms of execution (the taste was fine as were the cocktails). First off the Garlic Pit Prawns. The prawns came cooked in the shell (personally not a fan of this but it is what it is), and while well seasoned and tasty, it was not deveined, which put me right off. The Jerk Chicken arrived much faster than I anticipated but was unfortunately lukewarm and much to my surprise, wasn't actually that hot. It tasted fine but I wish it was a little hotter (in both heat and spice levels). Finally, I ordered the poached pineapple, and while again it wasn't bad, some of the pieces were too hard and in too big a chunks to be truly enjoyable as a dessert. In fact, I could probably have done with a knife to cut some of the chunks into smaller and softer pieces. I'd like to think these are minor issues that could easily be resolved and I did enjoy my time at the restaurant. I should also point out it was good value for money, especially the 2 for 1 cocktail deal. I paid less than £50 a head for 4 cocktails (2 of which were free), and a 3 course meal.

Had a great experience here this evening. My husband and I came for dinner. We were greeted by a very friendly man who 'rebooted our table so we could stay later and not be asked for the table and also that we could park in the old morrisons for free, by not paying in advance and putting our reg in their system! Our server was Maryanne, she was lovely!!! My husband likes his rum and wanted to try something new, he spoke to Maryanne and asked for yer thoughts on mixers, she was very friendly and helpful and gave her suggestion, he took her advice and was happy! When it came to ordering food again advice was asked and I was very happy with the advice and the choice selected from this. Maryanne checked on us at intervals and was never at the wrong time (when you've just taken a mouth full for example) We have a blue light card which we checked we could use before asking for the bill. Maryanne was great and advised we downloaded the turtle bay app. By doing this we saved £10 and they still accepted the 20% off for blue light and saved another £8 odd. What great service! Thank you so much Maryanne you really helped us to enjoy...
