Thyme Restaurant at Premier Inn North Terminal Gatwick Airport — Restaurant in Crawley

I overheard a conversation between two young black women that are employed by premier inn and as they were talking to one another i overheard the one I heard believe to be called “Chels” or “Chelsea” mention to her black friend, as she saw a very young white child on reins” mention that “why is it always white people who have their kids in those reins, it’s never black kids because as a kid I never had one if my mum told me to go to her I would, it’s only stupid white kids who have them”, now as a white father with white children if this was mentioned about my children these young disrespectful and rude girls would’ve never heard the end of it! This is disgusting and inappropriate behaviour inside or outside the workplace, if I said this but about black people there would be serious consequences, now I expect you to handle this the way you see fit and it should be dealt accordingly, but I do not tolerate racism no matter to whom, but they best think twice before saying anything remotely offensive/racist again. I suggest you do not become ENABLERS of this behaviour and I expect there is a zero racism tolerance policy. This then made me choose NOT to eat at...

Arrived at our reservation time & were seated promptly & that is all they did right! Waiter took out order, our drinks arrived a few minutes later & then the waiting game began!!!!! 10minutes no starter, 20 minutes no starter....43 minutes later our 1 sharing platter of food arrived! 43 minutes to put 4 onion rings, 3 small chicken drumsticks, 2 chicken kebabs & 3 lamb kebabs on a plate with some dip! By this point we were starving so ate the food & then began the waiting game part 2! 25 minutes later two rectangular plates emerged with a handful of chips on them and what was meant to be a chicken breast with cheese & bacon! The chicken breast was soaked in grease, the cheese tasted like it came out a cling film packet from Tesco & the chips were.....chips! All in all it was very very disappointing & at the cost of nearly £50 was well short of value for money! I'd have gotten the same service & quality of food if I went and found a local McDonalds but atleast I wouldn't have had to wait 75...

I arrived at about midnight to get a quick bite to eat before heading to our hotel.

Staff the greeted me at the bar was not welcoming at all. Sat down with my wife after having been travelling all day and travelling the next and within 5 minutes we already had security telling us that we cannot stay and when telling him that we've literally just ordered food has persisted to tell us that we cannot stay long. It was very rude and why advertise serving light bites at that point if you're just going to treat your customers badly.

That isn't how you treat a paying customer paying for some overpriced crappy pizza. Why advertise serving food late if you're not even going to let people sit down and wait for it without telling them to bugger off.

The pizza was £14 and I've had better £2 frozen pizzas.

I'm generally not one to give a bad review as I don't want it to affect people's business but in this case this establishment...
