I honestly would not recommend getting the cheesy chips, Just have the chips on their own. The burger was mediocre and the hot dog even though it was £4.50. All you get is just sausage and the bread. No other sauces. Nothing else that goes with it. Not even onions or any thing else u would want. The sausages probably cost them a pound each, maybe less.... The bread probably cost them 50p to get each and yet they're charging almost £5 for it. Barely even mediocre quality borderline poor quality food. Staff were miserable. I don't think they've ever heard of service with a smile. They have these electronic things that vibrate and light up when your order is ready... Very unhygienic as I don't think it's wiped or cleaned from the last person who had it or even the last 20 people who touched it. Another note for the cheese on the cheesy chips doesn't even come on the chips. You have to apply it from the small pot that they give you. It tastes so grainy. It's almost like you're eating sand. Prices are ridiculously high for what you get. Don't think that because you're paying a good price that you're going to have equally good quality. I don't even know how this can even exist as an establishment and have stayed there. Literally anywhere else would have been better. I can say for sure that we made a poor choice choosing...
Read moreIf there were an Olympus of airport fast food, Flavio would reign supreme. He’s not just an employee at Shake Shack: he’s an artist of courtesy, a samurai of service, a high priest of hospitality who transforms a simple burger into a sacred ritual.
While the airport devours everyone in a vortex of endless lines, rolling suitcases, and restless travelers, there he stands: calm, clear, radiant. Flavio doesn’t just serve burgers — he consecrates them. He doesn’t just take orders — he listens to them as if each passenger were confessing their soul. He doesn’t simply hand you a tray — he offers you a fragment of serenity amidst the chaos.
Every gesture seems designed to cleanse your stress: the smile that sweeps away fatigue, the steady voice that reassures, the almost zen-like choreography of his hands as he prepares your food. In that moment, you’re not just buying a meal — you’re being redeemed.
Shake Shack at the airport could easily be just another fast food spot, but with Flavio it becomes a temple. A place where a burger is no longer just food, but divine grace between two buns.
If airports need patron saints, my vote goes to Flavio. A true cleanser of weary souls, who restores faith in humanity — one...
Read moreThe Shake Shack at Gatwick Airport is a solid choice for a quick bite before your flight, though like most airport food, it is a bit overpriced. That said, the higher prices are pretty much expected at an airport, so it’s not a huge surprise. The menu is fairly small, offering the usual Shake Shack favorites like burgers, fries, and shakes, but despite the limited options, everything is prepared quickly and tastes great.
The quality of the food is just what you’d expect from Shake Shack—juicy burgers with fresh toppings, perfectly crisp fries, and creamy shakes that hit the spot. It’s a good option if you’re craving something fast and satisfying, especially when you don’t have much time to spare before your flight. Service is quick, which is ideal in an airport setting, and the staff are friendly and efficient, ensuring you get your food promptly.
Seating can be a bit limited, especially during busy times, but the overall experience is pleasant for a fast-food stop in an airport. If you’re willing to pay a bit more for the convenience and a reliable meal, the Shake Shack at Gatwick delivers with tasty food and fast service, perfect for...
