We normally like going to the prezzos in hatfield where food is good and service is quick but thought we would try the cinema and prezzos in hemel for a change. We got there at 7:20ish ordered pretty quickly but that's where the quick finishes. Our starters turned up after 20 min then waited another 40+ min so asked how much longer to be told my pizza was burnt so there making another but other food was ready and under lamp to keep warm. Even though all tables that ordered after us had received their meals. Told them to bring the food that was ready out as my partner is pregnant and it's now gone 8:30-8:40 and my child was falling asleep. I'm also diabetic and had done my insulin injection with the starter so bordering on a hypo. My partner and daughters meals come out stone cold and congealed and my pizza looked like raw dough 😡😡😡 told the man to take it back and that I'm leaving. He brought over the bill and said it's ok I've taken your mains off (that we never had) Due to the long wait, attitude and no explanation I refused to pay for starters, but I paid the drinks we had a j20 and a Diet Coke I apologised to the table next to us for having to listen to me moan but management was just not willing to listen to me to which he turns up at next table saying sorry about THEM looking at me. Is this how management deal with complaints normally at prezzos?? Shocking service and I out right refuse to try this...
Read moreWe tried for three days to book the table, had to physically go to the restaurant to make the booking and were told "the phones aren't working", we were offered a free bottle of prosecco for the trouble. When we arrived that evening, after being seated, we waited easily half an hour and had to wave to get the attention of a waiter just to be offered any drinks. The air con was blowing a gale on my friends back so we asked for it to be turned down and were told "sorry it's frozen" they offered to move us, but we declined because that would mean even more delay to our food and drinks. When the food came out one dish was wrong and had to be returned to the kitchen, leaving one of our party without food. We tried waiting but our meals started getting cold and by the time her meal arrived we had all finished. We asked the see the manager and were told "my manager is on holiday". We asked for another free bottle of prosecco to make up for our many disappointments, this was eventually given. However, when the bill came both bottles of prosecco had been charged. Nobody in this restaurant knows what they are doing and it's very apparent that nobody cares either. The food was average at best, the service is the worst I have ever...
Read moreFood was good, however the service left a lot to be desired. The lady who seemed to be the manager was great (she's been here for some time I think), but the servers were not good. Ordered a pint of 'house' lemonade and lime only to have bought over a pint of beer with a dish containing some lime slices and confirmed that wasn't correct, we'd ordered lemonade. Server went away and came back to say 'we can't give you a pint of lemonade that's why you got a beer, it's in a 'normal' lemonade glass. We were happy with that, despite not being mind readers about the glass sizes! (there was no 'normal' drinks menu, just wine and cocktails so we weren't to know glass sizes). But then when one of our mains didn't come (despite the server reading back our order at the time of placing) I saw her talking to the manager about our table and reciting that we'd apparently ordered a beer etc. Didn't make us feel very comfortable that we were being discussed with attitude. Once we got our food, no one carried out a check back. Probably because two of the servers were eating the Nandos that they'd had delivered in (not a great ad for the restaurant). Unlikely to return as servers had attitude, were not friendly and atmosphere was...
