Went last Wednesday night during the Eat Out to Help Out scheme. What can I say? The food was tasty and fresh. Just a shame it took nearly 2 hours to arrive. Don’t get me started on the drinks service! We arrived at restaurant just gone 7 and we were taken to our table. After a few minutes the waiter moved us to another table, in the new updated area by the bar. It’s a nice area but as the night went on I realised I would’ve much rather had stayed in the original part of the restaurant, the music was way too loud. Me and my friend were having to shout at each other to be heard. The main restaurant was much quieter, this would’ve suited us perfectly. I had to ask for our drinks 4 times. We ordered the drinks around 7:10 and by 7:55, they still hadn’t arrived. It was just a beer and a gin and tonic, not exactly complicated. The waiter was apologetic that it took so long but at the end when I asked the manager to remove the drinks from the bill, he flat out refused. I thought it was the least he could do considering the length of time we had to wait. Then he basically accused me of lying about how long we had to wait. I said the time we had arrived and sat down and he tried to dispute this, even though the table was booked for 7pm (and I booked it with the same man on the phone the previous day and he told me not to be late!) and we were only sat down a few minutes after that. The service was absolutely appalling. The manager/owner exceptionally rude. I am almost certain in any other restaurant they would not dispute over the removal of the cost of the drinks, I don’t think it is acceptable to have to wait over 40 mins for drinks. It’s a shame because I like Sedir, having eaten in the restaurant several times and ordered takeaway during lockdown but after the service we received last night, I definitely won’t bother going away, it’s really put me off. I’ll stick to Efes...
Read moreDeserves 15 stars by now. Stopped in here twice last year when away on a course. All three times have been epic. The lamb ribs man, so good. Honestly when sitting here eating the bread and sauces with a glass of wine feels so relaxing and then the main comes. It’s a pleasure to come back to dartford knowing I will be served food like that. I feel lucky to be able to try something so tasty. Best way I have eaten lamb yet. If you don’t mind looking like a pagan why munching on meat and bones accompanied by fresh salad and rice. With a cheeky half tortilla at the bottom that oddly enough is the best bit. Then get yourself down here. After a swim and a sauna and food like that I feel abroad . Banging food. Friendly staff. And the kitchen is visible, which is never a bad thing. Can’t speak highly enough of my : experiences with this place. I will be back this week and any other time im in dartford. Give this...
Read moreBooked for a table of 12 for my birthday. They had clearly overbooked with us waiting 45 minutes for drinks at one point and starters/mains being brought out incorrectly. My chicken was bright pink on the inside where it clearly hadn’t been cooked correctly. Asked for bread for one of the starters which was hummus which we didn’t receive for nearly an hour. Any of the staff members that we dealt with were also extremely rude and not very helpful at all. At the end they tried to wack on a service charge (they’re mad, what service was that???) and so we asked for it to be removed. It was removed with the new bill being thrown at us by a clearly stressed out owner. Save your money and go to efes around the corner for a better experience. I never normally write bad reviews but the experience completely ruined my special evening. Also VERY overpriced compared to efes which is...
