We had the experience of Emilio’s this evening. Proceed with caution!
I have never felt the need to leave a bad review before, Emilio’s has tipped me over the edge!
To start We had the Pavarotti Prawns and the Melanzane parmigiana both failed to hit a high note, in fact failed to hit any note! The prawns were lukewarm with a hot fishy tomato based sauce ladled over the top. They were unpleasant. Turning to the Melanzane parmigiana, the aubergine was bitter, mushy and oily. Clearly reheated from frozen.
Mains We had the duck special and a pizza Roma. The duck was nicely roasted but unfortunately covered in a thick grey salty slime, allegedly a peppercorn sauce. Frankly, unlike anything I have ever tasted and hopefully will never again! To accompany this grey slime we had some flaccid asparagus.
The pizza base was thick, uncooked in the middle and covered in a sweet tomato base. It was sent back and reheated. When we enquired about the thickness of the pizza we were told that they could only cook a thick base.
As unpleasant as the food was, it took a distant second place to the manager, who was confrontational, overzealous and thoroughly objectionable.
Having read such good reviews we were bitterly disappointed with our experience and would not return or recommend...

Now the food… wow. The pasta was clearly homemade — perfectly al dente and bursting with flavor. I had the truffle mushroom ravioli, and it was hands-down one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. The marinara sauce tasted like it came straight from a Nonna’s kitchen, and the tiramisu? Divine.
We also appreciated the thoughtful wine recommendations, which paired beautifully with our meal. From start to finish, everything felt authentic, elevated, and full of heart.

Our table was right next to the counter where the servers stood around so had like 2-3 people at a time just randomly stood over us, the food was very delicious! And although the deserts were nice, they were pretty small and my friends had a very long hair in (gross) it that the server kind of laughed off as he my friend didn’t have an issue with it (I would have lol) as it wasn’t like it was on top it ran through his desert.. then when the bill came it wasn’t itemised and specials ordered were grouped together other than what was scrawled on a separate piece of paper so wasn’t easy to understand so I that was fun splitting the bill.
