KFC Doncaster - Thorne Road — Restaurant in Doncaster

So last week my sister and I visited this KFC because we were starving and my sister has a chicken obsession. We were waiting 20 minutes just to place our order. Only 3 cars were in front of me so this still baffles me to this day as to why the waiting time was so long. I ordered 5 mini fillet burgers because I wanted 3 and my sister wanted 2. I also ordered a large chicken pop corn and a large gravy. So I pay when I eventually get to the next window and 5 minutes later get to the last window to collect my food. As I was getting ready to leave I got my sister to check that the order was correct. The woman then rudely told me to move because I was holding everyone up. So I moved and parked in the car park. I then checked the order and only 3 mini fillet burgers were in the bag. By this point I was beyond starving which meant I was in the worst mood possible. So I went into KFC, queued for 10 minutes because I got told by a staff member that I had to "wait like everyone else". Pretty sure I had already waited long enough, 32 minutes to be exact. So I finally get to the counter and I show the lad my receipt and the contents of the bag. He then said that I should have told them at the window. So I explained to him what happened at the window. So he then went and accused me of lying and said that I had the other two in my car and I just wanted two free burgers. A woman who I can only assume was a supervisor or a manager then butted in and said if I had an issue then I should email the customer complaints department. So when I got back to my car I emailed them. The next day I got a reply saying that it was my own fault and insinuated that I was rude to the staff and that's why they spoke to me they way they did.

Prior to covid we ate here as a family every Friday night with no issues. Have returned today after 16months, what's happened? Is it under new management? As we walked in a family were walking out after demanding a refund as had waited 60 mins and still no food. I ordered on the self order screen and thought it odd that beans were not an option. We had been waiting 15mins when rumour went round there was no gravy, this is something we enjoy so was disappointing, especially as the self serve had just let me order 3 tubs! Staff then told another customer they had no dips or sauces of any kind, another issue for us. I have to say I witnessed several customers waiting to order at the counter who were ignored for a long time before being dealt with. The children serving behind the counter didn't have any customer service skills and were in desperate need of some guidance maybe from a supervisor! The endless stream of just eat drivers seems to slow everything down, why not a dedicated staff member to deal with their orders? That's what they used to do pre covid. I asked for a refund in the end as we were hungry and the number of people waiting for their food didn't seem to be decreasing. My advice would be get your manager on the shop floor to see the issues first hand, total chaos. You'll lose thousands if you don't get on it! We won't be...

Very very poor customer service and food wasn't great either. I have never felt so insulted in my life. We went in for a burger, a quick meal before doing some shopping. We go in here now and again and never had a problem. But the cleaner/waiter brought us our food and said here you go ladies. I said very politely 'he's a man by the way' just for future reference and he said okay sorry and called him sir after that. I said it very politely and even smiled so he knew I wasn't being aggressive.

Next minute the manager is coming over and yelling at me saying 'the way you spoke to him was awful, he's got special needs' I didn't even notice that he was special needed and as a mental health activist, I'm kind to all and don't discriminate. I tried explaining to her that I'd have said the same to anyone and that my partner was hurt and offended but she just shook her head and walked away. I was very angry when I got accused of being aggressive when I was really polite. Awful staff.

Then the food was horrible. I asked for no lettuce but they didn't put mayo or ketchup on either and it left it dry. The chicken was rock hard and almost black....
