Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Dover

A great new Costa. A few points:

Really spacious and clean design with lots of seating available including tables and more relaxed seating (see picture) Good toilet facilities with a disabled toilet with baby changing facilities (see picture) and a smaller toilet too All flat inside and out - so great for wheelchair access Sign says ‘we love guide dogs’ Off the dual carriageway coming into Dover so easily accessible No right turn out of the venue - you have to turn left Latte was great! ☕️ Drive thru looked spacious although didn’t use it as sat in.

For people people who like to work from coffee shops:

Power sockets are present against the wall and aren’t (yet) displaying ‘do not use signs’ unlike other Costas. Plugs are also dotted under the strip of seating in the middle of the venue… in the wooden seating bench (see picture) Multiple car park spaces (see picture) which are free to park in at time of writing. Not loads of spaces but enough as long as it’s not busy inside Unfortunately parking is limited to 90 mins although it doesn’t say that it’s monitored by ANPR or doesn’t threaten a fine - but might be best not to risk going over 90mins as CCTV is present Free WiFi is present but I didn’t use without a VPN - public WiFi is risky. So I tether through phones when working. O2 signal was at 2-3 bars and my 3 network phone was around the same when sitting on the table near the loos. My wife had some issues hearing me clearly on the phone (3 network) but could have been her end. Initially, found signal not great but seemed to suddenly pick up and I was able to work online ok through both phone signals (tested separately). Switched airplane mode on and off to help reset signal on phones.

Conclusion A great new roomie Costa with lots of seating. Slightly let down by 90 minute parking limit. Great accessible venue with lots of seating. Well positioned when coming into Dover. Recommended! Written: December 2024 just after...
