The Happy Chef — Restaurant in Dover

Edited: When is this place ever open! Looks like such an amazing establishment for breakfast, lunch and dinner but everytime I go near this place, it’s shut. What an absolute shame

• Continuation from owners response * I gave the 1 star review for a number of reasons. Perfectly understand that you are having some personal issues. However for the residents of Snargate street we notice this establishment is now slowly decaying away especially the awnings. Other businesses and residents of Snargate street have spoken about the closure of the cafe and disappointed to see that it hasn’t been opened under temporary management or something similar during this time. The note you have left on the door clearly does state that there is a reason for closer however you have also included that the reopening wouldn’t be too far away.. but seems that the note was written last year and yet still not open. What a shame I came to the Happy Chef early to have an all day breakfast as I have done many times before. I checked the opening times online before and arrived at 06:30am on Saturday 26/10/19, unfortunately it was shut.very disappointed, on the front door the Saturday opening times where 06:00am and the was no sign of any movement. I really was looking forward to my breakfast. I will come back next time I am in the area as I do enjoy eating at your restaurant .

As soon as I walked in I was greeted by all the staff, which was very welcoming. It's a popular place as many people arrived with their families. The staff were friendly throughout and only had to wait 10mins for my breakfast. Food was pretty good too! So if I'm in the area again I would definitely come back.
