The worst customer service I have ever received in my life. I got to Dover Priory Station very late last night. I want to go to Sittingbourne. No trains or buses. My phone died and there were no cabs. They closed the train station and no entry. A stranger was kind enough and used his phone to ring a few taxis. None available. He told me my best option was to get a room somewhere and leave in the morning.
I walked to Premier Inn and they didn't have a room. I went to Travelodge and asked for the room. The lady at the reception said no room. I wanted a glass of water as I was feeling ill. Another man came out and was so rude and told me to leave. They didn't even give me a glass of water and said they would call security if I didn't leave. Not sure what was the reason for someone to behave to me like that when I was well-behaved and soft-spoken. I sat outside the Travelodge as I didn't have any other option and didn't have power on my phone to contact anyone. I fell asleep on the street literally outside the front door of Travelodge and woke up in the middle shivering.
I spoke to the Travelodge receptionist through the speakerphone that was installed outside and asked if I could buy a blanket. I said I would pay whatever it costs from £50. I told them I was wearing an Armani Watch, and they could take that as well. The lady was so rude and told me NO. She said go and try the Premier inn. They could easily see from their cameras I was struggling all night on the floor outside the Travelodge. At 415 am, I walked to the station and got the 450 train to Sittingbourne.
This was my experience last night. I saw an extremely kind man last night who tried to help me with his phone. In between the conversation, that man said his mum was not well, and he was going to visit her. I really hope his mum is OK. And then I saw those two people inside Travelodge who wouldn't even give a helping hand when...
Read moreBrilliant hotel. It was our first time staying in Dover for the motormania event at lydden hill race circuit which is only a 15minute drive away. We had five of us staying including my stepson with adhd. We asked if this would be possible as not all hotels would allow it. The staff at travelodge were very accommodating and not only was it ok they managed to find us a third bed and a massive! Room! We were pleasantly surprised by everything. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. I was also contacted on the Monday to check my stay was ok which was lovely. We are staying again with my stepson in a week and again it’s clear they can’t do enough to help including giving us the same room to help my stepsons anxieties. Would 100% recommend this hotel. It’s also worth mentioning there are a good few shops nearby too including a costa, Poundland, greggs, Burger King, m&s, also in a short (5mins) walk there is a small town bit that has a few little shops and convenience stores, there’s also a fairly pleasant weather spoons (the eight bells) with a Nice little souvenir shop next door. Looking forward to staying here again and...
Read moreArrived on Easter Sunday prebooked not a problem. Before we even entered the hotel a guy was stood to the right of the main entrance urinating whilst other people where arguing and fighting right outside the front door. Go into the main foyer and a couple of people had a ferret in a cage which had stank the whole foyer out not the Ferrets fault but the owners and it was very unpleasant so Before we got to reception not a good first impression. Got upstairs to reception to be met with a young man who was also manning the bar as well as reception. I told him about what I just experienced to be told they are all paying guests and if I don't like it I could go find another hotel. Nice. Not the friendliest staff member. However the room was clean. We slept okay but the drunken behaviour overspilled into the dormitory corridor where my room was. Not good. Left in the morning didn't see another member of staff. Overall hotel is okay but the antisocial element and the staff member made our stay...
