McDonald's — Restaurant in Dover

During my recent visit to the establishment, I utilised the drive-through service and opted for the £5 meal deal, which offers a choice between a cheeseburger or a saver menu chicken burger, accompanied by four nuggets, medium fries, and a beverage. The staff demonstrated commendable patience as I deliberated over my beverage selection, as my initial choice was no longer available on the menu. Expressing my preference for a cold, non-carbonated beverage, I was advised by the staff to consider a milkshake, albeit with an additional charge, which I found acceptable.

The meal deal, priced at £5.80, including the milkshake surcharge, represented excellent value for money. However, the quantity of food proved to be excessive for my appetite. The staff's helpfulness was commendable.

One minor issue arose with the fries, which were not freshly prepared and lacked optimal quality. This observation may be attributed to the relatively quiet period during my visit. The young lady at the order and pay window displayed a cooperative attitude, while the gentleman who handed over the food promptly fulfilled my request for additional straws. However, after completing my meal, I discovered no serviettes had been included in the bag.

In summary, my experience at the establishment was generally satisfactory, and I would recommend it as a suitable option for a quick meal. However, I will be reserving such visits for occasions when accompanied by my grandchildren...

On the four most recent visits, I've had one problem after another with this site, not to mention the chips are always soggy and cold.

First time the system was down so unable to purchase any food. On the second occasion, they ran out of fries although there were trolleys full being delivered left sat outside. Third occasion, a piece of the ice cream machine was broken so unable to sell Mcflurry's on a hot day. Fourth occasion, after trying for weeks to have the new Milkybar Mcflurry which is always out of stock, I was told I could have one, then when they checked what other ice creams they had for me they realised it was still out of stock. So I ordered and paid for two Munchies ones instead, and whilst waiting for it at the window, I was told the machine was down for a hot clean. Why did it take till the third person to realise that?! I had to park up and get a refund. Hopefully the site in town gets the go ahead and this one ends up closing down. I don't particularly like McDonald's, but on the rare occasions I've tried to use it I've had nothing but...

I seem to rate a lot of McD's, seems to be the place the kids want to go. Normally I'd also say it is the quick and easy option... on this occasion it did not hit either of those marks...

Drove all the way round as missed the road in initially due to poor signage, when we did get in we found a parking space, but very confusing about if there is / is no spaces...! Went in and tried ordering and they had run out of kids OJ and then convinced kids to have a warm drink of hot choc, but ran out of that too..! Once we had ordered it seemed to take an age - far longer than we have experienced elsewhere before. They had a condiment type station set up but it was also only half full, so had to ask for extra bits.

Food itself was fine, so a relief there at least... but when got back to the car someone had kindly put a cone behind it..! Not a major issue, but...
