The Lutley Oak offered a great meal for me and my mates. I parked up in their more than adequate car park, where I left my student ID in-case it would cause some issues. Seating in the Lutley Oak was lovely; Me and the boys sat in a booth with nice sofas, and a TV with competitive pool playing in the background. My friend ordered a bowl of chips, and then me and my other friend ordered an All American Chicken burger. The burger came out nicely prepared, very American. The service is only getting two stars as we felt the woman who served us sounded particularly moody and kind of like we were people she didn't like. Apart from that though, food was great, really enjoyed the burger, and the chicken was great! Chips were nice and crunchy, and the onion rings were beautiful. I like the selection you get on your table, with brown and tomato sauce, as well as mayonnaise, and then your typical salt and pepper. the tables also come equipped with serviettes which I thought was nice. Overall, I would recommend The Lutley Oak, the atmosphere is friendly and warm, their application is well-constructed and straight-forward, the food is lovely, and I would go again if it weren't for my college education being over.

Found this pub randomly when me and my friend went on our weekly new pub hunt. Absolutely loved the location, the outside, the decor, the food and service. A lovely lady served us, loved that she was smiling throughout an extremely busy pub! We waited a very long time for the food but it was soooo busy! So understandable but not acceptable. Decided to go back with my partner because I liked it so much. This time it was different, the service was horrible. It wasn’t busy, but the lady behind the bar obviously didn’t want to be at work. Working in customer service myself, customer service is extremely important to me. There was no friendliness, professionalism or even a smile. Such a shame as I really like this place and the bad customer service put me off. I don’t live local so visiting this pub is like a treat. Food, i recommend the ultimate feast under the sharer section, mac n cheese and hunters chicken. Would I go back? Probably…

This is a well laid out and fairly large pub/restaurant and part of the Greene King chain. You will find a load of tables inside with some outside and undercover. There is still plenty of space to move around, so you don't feel cramped. There is a well stocked bar, and for sports fans, they have tv's around the building and show matches that are advertised outside. They also have various special events, so cater to a wide number of customers. Families are especially welcome as well as dog owners. Wide range of meals and deserts available and for holders of Blue light cards they offer a discount. Service was quick and food hot and tasty and very reasonable prices. There are a couple of EV charging points for people with electric vehicles. There are two car parks, one on the Stourbridge Road and one on Lutley Mill Road.

Recently moved to the area and this is my experience of the lutley oak pub 1st visit - came for a game of pool, asked the bartender for two pints and a few pounds for the pool table, took payment and then decided to mention the pool table was out of service, stuck with two pints in a place we didn't want to be, felt like done on purpose, we asked if there was anywhere else with a pool table we were told about the hunting tree - was also told not to bother going there as would be too busy and yet ended up having a really nice time there instead! 2nd visit - came for food this time, really disappointed! This would have been a turn point over from 1 to 5 stars because the food was good, I was served by Kerryn who took our order, two burgers and a steak, asked for hunters fries and was over charged for side items that we didn't ask for and that doesn't mention anything about extra charges on the menu, I asked for upgraded fries and when I asked for the refund on the side orders we didn't want they removed the upgraded fries (£1 extra on your burger meal) then told us for it to be added back on it would cost £3.29 and Kerryn also told us that they don't have to mention the extra charges for sides you don't ask for - pretty sure that's not right plus it's a good way to earn bad reputation, I'd also asked for no tomato yet the desire to upsell items your not aware of exceeds my requirements for allergies, someone else tried to amend the situation however in the process of explaining things out put words into my mouth on what I said before informed her what It was I said, the place was quiet for a Sunday and I'm starting to see why, the food is good but it will cost you more than your aware and then mess with your order if you do become aware, overall as someone who's just moved to the area finding a good local pub to go to is a must and unfortunately it seems like other people are aware of this place as I too will not be returning, really disappointed and not satisfied with the service from the people that represent this chain of the...

The lady that served me who was new was the best part about the trip, she was lovely. Unfortunately the food was awful- honestly the worst meal I’ve ever eaten. I say eaten, I didn’t really eat it. The steak was full of gristle and fat which made it impossible to cut in most places, one mouthful I had was okay, the other I had to spit out as it was just pure gristle. I essentially just paid around £15 to just eat peas.

I said I’m gluten free when I ordered, the lady didn’t know about the allergen menu so I asked for steak and chips which she said was fine and she put a note on. When it came it came with a jacket potato. Who wants to go out for food and eat a jacket potato? Certainly not for the same price as a normal meal. I felt the waitress was rude about it when I said that wasn’t what I ordered and asked if I wanted salad instead. I’m not paying that much for salad. My father in law swapped me for his chips, because I’m an adult and should be able to choose whether or not I risk having chips right?... The manager came over to apologise (and offered a free drink- all I wanted was no hassle to be honest) and again blamed the girl at the bar as she’s new. Support her better then, don’t leave her on the bar taking orders if she’s new until she feels confident. All she did while I was ordering was apologise every two minutes which says to me she doesn’t feel like she’s been given enough training or support. No use blaming her, why didn’t it get flagged when it went through to the kitchen… needless to say the meal was terrible anyway. Feel a bit annoyed you’ve had about £60...

PARTY OF 30 - IN THE COVERED BEER GARDEN - AMAZING WELL!! Where do I start? What can I say? EXCELLENT!!l. In every-way possible. If I could give 10 stars I would . Probably 11!! From the second we reserved this area the service was BRILLIANT. Every single request I made was fulfilled by every staff member I came into contact with, that is face to face and on the phone. KIRSTY, KATIE and DARCIE served us on Sunday 20th August 2023 and they were OUTSTANDING. The attention that Kirsty especially, gave us was incredible. We were allowed to ‘dress’ the area and really make it our own for the few hours we were there. We all eat from the main menu and everything was lovely. So many compliments from our guests on the quality of the food. Which was served quickly and efficiently.

I cannot PRAISE The Lutley Oak and it’s staff enough. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this covered area for an informal gathering/party it’s absolutely ideal - obviously it’s an open outside venue and we were lucky with the weather. There is no doubt we will be back and considering using the Lutley Oak in the future for our many group meet-ups.

My THANKS again to everyone at the Lutley Oak and especially the 3 girls who so tirelessly served us with great smiles fantastic attitude adding to the congenial atmosphere of the whole afternoon. They are an asset to the pub and deserve special...
