Lived here 49 years and never ventured in due to its reputation, however, having seen the renovations being done through lockdowns I decided to give it a go this weekend .... I wasn't disappointed! Pleasant seating arrangements, bright and airy. Owner Pete and bar lady, Ann, were very friendly and helpful. Walk-ins welcome with full table service. Good selection of ales and gins, quart selection of ales also on offer. Lovely pub with attentive and efficient staff. Pub is very clean and tidy and everyone seemed to be keeping to the covid rules. A great selection of pints from black country ales and a smashing cob. Prices are pretty standard for the area, so reasonable. The big pluses for me were a quiet tasteful background music, a friendly atmosphere and a good pint. Will...
