I recently revisited The Woodman Pub in Netherton after hearing it had undergone a refurbishment—and I’m so glad I did! I hadn't been back in several years due to a previous disappointing experience, but I'm genuinely impressed with the transformation. The entire atmosphere has improved dramatically; it feels like a completely different place—in the best possible way!

From the moment I walked in, I noticed a warm, welcoming vibe. The interior looks fantastic, and there’s a renewed energy that really adds to the overall experience. I was served by a lovely lady named Emmie, who truly went above and beyond. She took the time to discuss my dietary needs in detail, ensuring I felt comfortable and well taken care of. She also gave me a great overview of the current food and drink promotions, which was much appreciated.

Emmie's friendliness, professionalism, and genuine passion for her work were so refreshing. It’s rare to come across someone who clearly enjoys what they do, and her positive attitude really stood out.

From the moment we arrived, the vibe was welcoming and relaxed, making it an ideal spot to unwind. What really stood out, though, was the exceptional service. We were looked after by Emmie, who went above and beyond throughout our visit. She made a genuine effort to check in with us regularly, ensuring we had everything we needed without ever being overbearing. On top of that, she took the time to walk us through the current promotions and offers, which we really appreciated.

Unless you're a bloke who loves just to hear the TV racing, don't bother, volume way too loud on the TV. Ordered the All day burger as the picture with the egg running down the side looked so tempting. supposed to come with lettuce, beef tomato, onion rings and black pudding croquette. Egg was so done there was almost no yellow to show on it, lettuce must have been the dregs of the bag as it was off colour and limp, only a few scrags on there, no beef tomato at all. Croquette was nice as were the onions rings, burger was okay, nothing to shout about. Daughter had plain chicken burger with again no beef tomato and scrags of same limp and out of date lettuce. Seats to sit on were so stained I had to check if it was wet or dry, really quite a disgusting pub don't waste your money unless you're a racing...
