Visited the drive-through earlier and waited at the order pod (no cars in front of me).....still waited.......still waited......voice came over the intercom "can I help you?"....not so much as a "welcome to KFC, my name is (insert name) can I take your order please?"..... "do you have chicken strip meals please?" says me....."yes" says the server.......silence then from the server. "how many strips can I get please?" says me......"3,4 or 5" says server......can I have 3 strip meal please" says me....."what drink do you want? says server...."diet Pepsi" says me......."2nd window" says server. Drives round to window, sat with window down, no acknowledgement from server....waited.......waited....."cash or card" says server....."card" says me........server produces card machine for me to tap, asked him to tilt it to show what the cost was before presenting card, big sigh from server. Happy with cost, card presented and paid. Server then brought my diet pepsi to the window, overflowing and running down the sides of the cup. I took hold of the cup and kept it outside the car and asked for a napkin to dry the cup but server was back on his earpiece speaking to another customer at the drive through pod and ignored my request for a napkin. Had to wait until he was finished taking the other drive through order, still holding the dripping cup outside the car. No apology from the server, he went a got a bundle of napkins and passed about 10 across to me - I think by now he realised I wasn't particularly impressed with his Customer Service. I've got no issues with the quality of the food but the almost grudging effort at Customer Service is poor and that's got to be down to management or Training........or common good manners on the part of the individual and it just takes away from...
Read moreThe KFCs I visit all share the same issues, usually cold and always dirty. The bins are over flowing, and the tables haven't been cleaned, and this one isn't any different.
Firstly they keep the delivery driver door open, which is fine on a hot summer but we haven't been getting that. So had to sit with a jacket on and so did a few other I noticed. I remember in Kirkcaldy, you could see your own breath once.
With about 3 bins for the entire restaurant, they're always over flowing. I don't like comparing the two and granted they're just fast food places, but McDonalds has a member of staff always clearing tables, cleaning and emptying bins and this is where KFC lacks. Feels like they never have enough staff. I understand people should actually clear their own tables and I do but where do I push the rubbish? As the bins are over flowing. So then people don't take their rubbish to the bins so then half of the tables if not more are usually dirty or have past customers meals on them.
The food is usually good though. I don't get a KFC much these days, once in a blue moon. They changed the gravy and it still hurts. But its the food is as good...
Read moreI really don’t like to moan about people’s businesses on Google but how KFC has gone downhill. It doesn’t taste like it used to, the restaurants always seem to look tired and unkempt with greasy finger marks everywhere and if you dare to go in after 7:30pm there is always something on the menu that has conveniently run out. This time it was the ice cream. No big deal I suppose on a cold March evening but we all know it’s because they cleaned the ice cream machine early because they want to go home early. On a plus point, the new style fries were good but if your name was built on good chicken and nice clean restaurants then maybe strip out the menu and go back to doing what you used to do and do it well. Such a shame as I used to work in KFC many many years ago and I can’t help but feel it’s bordering the worst of the big food chains now. I hope things change but I think it’s owned by one of the big corporates now so probably nothing would change...
