The great thing about Pizza Hut is that you usually get what you expect: the classic salad bar, bottomless drinks machine, decent food and ice cream factory if the fancy takes you. However, ordering on an app from inside a restaurant takes away some of the restaurant experience for me. To some extent the staff are relegated to bringing food and clearing tables. There's no real service to experience. What we experienced wasn't great either. We had to wait a long time for 2 desserts and 4 ice cream bowls. When I chivvied politely after 20 minutes, I achieved zero chivvy. 20 minutes later someone asked if we were ready for dessert. No-one was taking responsibility for the service, no-one was monitoring the tables to progress to the next course - there was no sign of supervision or front of house management when you looked for it. The universally young waiting staff actively avoided making eye contact. We could have stayed at home, ordered on the app, hadthe same pizzas and sides, a better choice of desserts and ice cream from the freezer and experienced better service, all less than the £150 it cost us. The Pizza Hut pizza may be decent (other decent pizza restaurants are available) but the Pizza Hut experience has...
Read moreSeverely disappointed in service during our visit last night, my partner and I went in last night, and I understand we came in towards closing time but there was still over an hour left until the registered closing time and we we’re not informed of them closing any earlier before we placed our order. We were greeted at the door by a young man that seemed very annoyed at us coming in. After we placed our order our glasses and bowls for our dessert were dumped at our table and nothing was said. On our way to fill our glasses the manager was overheard speaking to the young boy complaining about an order coming through when he was wanting to get home. We received our pizza which was nice, the quality of the food was good, but this has been overshadowed by the treatment given to us by the staff. Upon asking for our food to be packaged up as we felt uncomfortable staying any longer my partner was handed a box and had to ask if he was to pack it himself which I understand wasn’t great, the boy then took the food and upon leaving didn’t not...
Read moreSadly this isn't a positive review. My wife and I were in the area and feeling hungry. A Google search directed us to this Pizza Hut. The premises were clean and tidy and the service, although minimal was decent. I don't like the way you have to order, by scanning a QR code on your table and completing your order. You are asked to leave a service tip before you have even received your meal which I thought was presumptuous. We could only pay via card, no cash payments, which caused us a small problem.
The Pizzas we received were not quite what we expected. Due to the cost of £36 for two 9" Pizzas, I thought they'd be top quality. The Pepperoni Feast I ordered was anything but a feast. Each slice of pizza had one and a half pieces of Pepperoni at best.
We couldn't warrant paying £4.50 each for a soft drink even though you could refill as many times as you would like.
At the end of the day, we came away feeling ripped off.
Pizza Hut also need to sort their menus out. It is really difficult...
