Domino's Pizza - Ely — Restaurant in East Cambridgeshire

I went to order in store last Thursday. I ordered a large pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms. First I have to say the person behind the counter that took my order wasn't friendly as he doesn't not smile when greeting a customer.I sat and waited in store for my pizza to be ready. When my pizza was ready they put it under the light and the person who should have give it me ignore it and started to make some pizza. The other guy that was making pizza minutes prior noticed me so he went to check under the lights and finally gave it me, he was friendly. I went home opened the box and realised there was barely any mozzarella on the pizza so at the first bite all I could taste is the tomato sauce taking over any other flavour. I was upset took a picture and called customer service to raise a complain and they took my details saying the store would contact me within 2 days. After a couple of days someone called me saying he was from customer care and offered me this :We apologise and we promise this wouldn't happen again! I replied: this is what I get just an apology after I was dissatisfied of the taste and quality of the pizza? He replied : so what do you want? Before I had the chance to reply he hung up on me and no bother to be back. 😡🤬 So remember whoever you are that called me : An unhappy customer will not come back to your store and would not promote your business to family and...

We have been coming here for many years. This place was never amazing but it was OK for a quick go to Meal. We placed rather a large order. I picked up the garlic bread placed it on my plate and this fell off the garlic bread. Looking suspiciously like facial hair to me. Despite it being a delivery my husband drove straight back there and said hey look at this. The guy on reception was very rude and said that it was definitely not facial hair. Despite the guy in the background cooking without a cover over his beard. What’s the betting he had a shave that morning? Anyway would not refund us but would give us a partial re-order from the same guy that was dropping his hair in the food. I felt sick when I saw this and I feel sick with the rest of the pizza that is just went straight in the bin. We don’t have a lot of money this was a treat for us that has gone straight in the bin twice over. I can still feel whiskers in my teeth this is very unsatisfactory. Ordered 75 minutes ago when the app said 18-22 minutes for delivery. According to the tracker it was cooked and out for delivery an hour ago. Starting to wonder if the delivery driver is enjoying his pizza. Called the store, apparently they're busy (!) and I'm assured that when it arrives the pizza won't be cold. Well, not stone cold I'm sure. I don't think we'll be using this store again.

Edit: After calling the store, the food arrived 5 minutes later. Wasn't hot; it had obviously been cooked on time but sat on the side waiting to be delivered. We've had many nice pizzas since (from independent pizza takeaways). Might use Dominos again one day but this experience...
