Yesterday the 19th I ordered some takeway food online on the KFC website, I waited for more than 50 minutes to be notified that the order was ready to be collected but that never happened. When I got to the store asking if my food was ready, they said they were not aware of the order as they claimed it did not even appear on their screen. I was charged over £30 for the food; the lady manager assured me I would be refunded within a few days in case the order did not appear on their system and she asked me to place the same order again with them in the shop, which I did but they completely mess it up as when I got home and opened my chicken burger box I realised my chicken was missing from the sandwich and also got gravy instead of the beans I had asked for. Because of the mistake made with my order, I returned to the store soon after, raised my complaint with the staff and the manager told me she would investigate the situation. In fairness to her, she did give me a new burger and some free chicken but this did not make it right as I had to pay for the food twice and had the night ruined. I will now also have wait a few days and hope to receive the refund from them, which I believe will be another nightmare. By the way, I had asked for a mighty bucket for one but my food was given to me in a bag instead and when I complained, the staff response was that most of their customers ask for the food to be in a bag. This doesn't make sense to me at all as I had asked a mighty bucket and therefore expected my food to be in a buck🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 This was my beautiful Saturday night. Read moreOnce a year whilst on holiday in the Ely area with my family who live there I go to KFC Ely. Two years ago they had run out of chicken! It was a week night at about 2130hrs which is I believe an hour before closing. This year, in August in the evening of a Monday night I ordered a bargain bucket. "We only have drumsticks" I was told. "The breast portions are more popular. I can give you some chicken bites with it" I was somewhat taken aback by this situation since KFC only sells chicken in some form and I'm guessing the bargain bucket is still popular. Why if the manager knows that people request breast portions more than a variety of portions, does she not compensate in her ordering? I was additionally told that an order was expected in 15 minutes and that I could wait. I elected to do that and 30 minutes later, not 15 as promised, my order arrived. I had been offered a free drink whilst I waited which I declined. I didn't see a delivery truck or van arrive but perhaps I missed that. I consider this very poor service on both occasions. I advised the drive thru assistant that I had a voucher on the app. When I got to window I was told very matter of factly that “it’s a good job you told me you had the voucher before driving forwards otherwise I’d have to charge you full price!”. Would you now? Anyway, scanned the app and as I’m about to pay the assistant wanders to the restaurant then comes back to say the boneless fillet machine is broken (?) and they only have 7 fillets. I ask if they can make the order up with normal chicken or something (expecting to be offered 3 or 4 piece to cover the 5 missing boneless). Nope, wrong again, an offer of a large box of popcorn chicken to cover 5 pieces of boneless. Are you kidding? We all know the popcorn is made from chicken lips and toes nails but we overlook it because it’s just a side. It is not a main and never will be!
