This is one of the three pubs currently trading in the town of Ottery St Mary. It has a bar, a lounge/dining area and an upstairs function room. We have visited the pub (not the B and B) several times and always had a warm welcome. There is usually a good specials menu up and one of our favourites are the home made pies, which are really home made! The food is simple pub grub, unpretentious, and you would be hard pressed to find a main course priced over £10. Some are little more than half of that but are still good quality and decent size portions. For beer drinkers there are normally a range of guest beers (it is a free house) on at £3-00 a pint. Service is friendly rather than overtly customer focussed. The pub also puts on music, including a monthly jazz session and an "open mic night" .Access for a person with disability is possible in the bar and lounge but not the function room. Parking is usually available but can be limited at busy times. Not a fancy pub by any standards but a nice atmosphere, good value and...

Read moreWe usually visit the London Inn for their great value weekday lunches when shopping in the area. We have now started going for their Sunday Roasts and we have yet to finish one! They have a choice of four well-cooked meats available. The huge||meals are fantastic value for just £8.50, and include a wide range of nicely cooked vegetables and a full gravy boat. A slightly smaller portion is available for £7.50. The beer and wines are very reasonably priced, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The menu on their website lists "A Traditional Sunday Roast Just Like Mums" and that is precisely what they serve, no frills or fancy cooking, just a very fine Sunday Roast, the best we have found in the area, we could almost imagine my Gran's budgie in the background! If only they would opt for some consistency and stop buying their Cask Ales from seemingly random breweries by the single barrel, then The London Inn would warrant an even...
