Fez Restaurant — Restaurant in East Hampshire

Unfortunately, the owner's wife who cleaned our table turned the whole experience into a negative one. I booked a table and asked if it was busy as we wanted to enjoy our evening with great food. On the arrival, we were told that they could offer us two options, one was a table downstairs for an hour's , and other option was a table upstairs for one and a half hour. We chose the second option. After the main course was served and we finished it, that was all finished in an hour, the owner's wife told us she would bring us a bill without asking if we wanted to order some dessert or tea/coffee. Nothing. Just, you finish then get out. She didn't even ask if we were happy with the meal. So what was the point of booking the table? Why couldn't we stay that one and a half hour? Why does she always have to be so tackless and rude? The food was amazing as always. The girl who served us was inexperienced but very nice. I travelled from London to dine at Fez Petersfield, encouraged by their advertised offering of both dine-in and takeaway services. The atmosphere, staff dress, and casual setup gave no impression that it was a fine dining venue or that reservations were mandatory for general dining.

I was seated without any mention that a reservation was required. However, after some time, I was approached and asked to leave, which was both unexpected and embarrassing. No apology, no explanation beforehand, and no alternative was offered despite the inconvenience caused.

The website itself is unclear — it promotes casual dining and takeaway alongside private function bookings, yet gives no warning that standard seating might require prior booking. The inconsistency between their online presentation and how guests are treated in reality was deeply disappointing.

Had a really pleasureable experience here, I was looking for 'all you can eats' last minute and as I was close to Waterlooville. I checked 'all you can eats Petersfield', this restaurant came up with a buffet option. I phoned, booked a table for 2pm, ended up sitting in the restaurant where I was served the most delicious buffet food, it's very rare I will ever go back to the same place unless its just quick cheap grub, but I am determined to go back here again for sure!!! I believe it is run by lovely couple who have very good customer service, they are very attentive and they cannot do enough for you, but what was even better was the food! Absolutely amazing. Really nice flavours, and I left not feeling sluggish like when visiting regular buffets, but energetic-like as there was much healthier tastier food than your usual buffet.
