Poppins Petersfield — Restaurant in East Hampshire

Experienced the worst customer service ever on our visit to the Petersfield chain today at around 11 am. The server was the rudest person I've ever met and should NOT be working in a customer service environment. He was rude to my wife and said about 6 times that WE had ordered incorrectly, when in fact, he was the one who took our order wrong. He shouted at us and did not back down, scaring other customers who eventually left saying they were never coming back. Anyone who witnessed the terrible behaviour has commented they won't be coming back, and obviously neither are we. Sadly this one individual has ruined our day, and that location for the other staff who were polite, helpful and apologetic for his behaviour. This went on the entire visit we were there and made it awkward and uncomfortable for us. He was staring at my wife angrily on numerous occasions, never apologised and pointed the finger at us on a variety of times. Absolutely appalling service. This individual should be disappointed in himself and if he was the manager, even more so. If he was having a bad day with personal issues going on in his life, that is still not an excuse to treat others the way he did. Hopefully that was just a one off for this location, but we won't...

Was in Petersfield to get my car valeted and decided to have a look around the shops, after all it was a lovely day. After looking in numerous shops we were ready for something to eat and decided to poppin (pardon the pun) for lunch as the smell wafting down the street pulled us in. I had an all day breakfast and my other half had an omelette both with coffee. The food was great and the place was really clean. The gentleman who took our order was so friendly and welcoming, no sooner had we placed our order the coffee arrived within minutes and the food shortly after. Popped in for a quick bacon baguette takeaway as Poppins in other areas is lovely. Shocking experience. 2 slices of fat in my baguette, no nice bacon. Threw it in bin. Was told we only do a meal deal so was charged £6 for a baguette of 2 slices of fat, a packet of out of date! Crisps and a can of pepsi. I gave the crisps back to them. A man then went to his shop a few doors down to get me another packet of out of date crisps! Shocking place! Not even a sorry!...
