This place is an absolute disgrace. From the moment we walked in, it was clear the staff couldn't care less about their customers. They behaved as though we were an inconvenience, doing us a massive favor by even acknowledging us. The level of disinterest was shocking. To top it off, the place was filthy—we had to clean our glasses with tissues just to see through them. It was disgusting. The service? A complete joke. We waited a painful two hours for one bite, a pizza, and a dessert. TWO HOURS! And as if that wasn’t bad enough, one person in our group has a nut allergy. When the antipasto was served, they made zero effort to offer a replacement for them—just utterly careless and unacceptable. The food itself was atrocious. Bland, tasteless, and an insult to anyone paying for it. There wasn’t a single redeeming feature about anything we ate. But here’s the cherry on this disaster of a meal: we ordered Cokes and still water, which were brought to the table in their “original” bottles—but the bottles had already been opened. The Coke tasted like some cheap, flat refill, and the so-called Aqua Panna water? Pure tap water. Honestly, this place is an insult to the hospitality industry. Filthy, slow, and serving 'something' they have the nerve to call food. Save yourself the misery and go literally...
Read moreI have been trying to explain to my kids that the pizza you get from the commercial pizza joints is not what pizza is - I have been to Italy and when you come back here and find yourself eating pizza from one of these mainstream commercial joints, some of which don't even have a proper wood fired pizza oven is soul destroying.
I twisted my daughter's arm and got her to join me for lunch at Franco Manca in Stortford when it opened up. Her world changed and she came home and told her mum and baby sister that they have never had a proper pizza before.
We took the whole family the weekend after and they all agreed.
The pizza is exactly like the pizzas i've enjoyed in Italy. The coffee is in a league of its own and their home made lemonade is alone is worth the trip to their restaurant. The staff are brilliant and very friendly. They are also very proud of their product. The one server brought our pizzas to our table and said "Here we go, the best pizza in town', with immense pride.
The location is great, the restaurant is sparkling clean with a nice atmosphere and the perfect music.
We have never gone to any other pizza place since. We come here for lunches, dinners and even birthday meals.

Read moreI recently dined at Franco’s, an exquisite Italian eatery that left me utterly impressed. From the moment I stepped inside, I was transported to the heart of Italy. The ambiance was cozy, with dim lighting and rustic decor that set the perfect mood for a romantic dinner or a family gathering.
The menu was a culinary journey through Italy, offering a wide range of traditional and contemporary dishes. I started with the bruschetta, a delightful burst of fresh tomatoes, basil, and olive oil on crispy bread. For the main course, I couldn't resist the pizza, which was a melt-in-your-mouth masterpiece.
But what truly set this restaurant apart was the warmth and hospitality of the staff. The entire team takes great pride in their culinary creations.
In summary, is a true gem in the world of Italian cuisine. It offers an authentic Italian experience with impeccable food, a cozy atmosphere, and a staff that goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in search of a memorable Italian dining experience. Buon...
