Had a terrible experience at host this evening. We had booked a table for 7pm for 2 people, ordered a jug of pimms and some food. 20 minutes went by and we asked when our pimms would be coming. We were met with a very sarcastic comment from a waitress who rolled her eyes at us. After another 15 minutes, we asked a waiter who said they were busy, again no apology or resolution. After waiting for 45 minutes, a large group who arrived a long time after us got their drinks. We spoke to the first waitress again and her attitude was disgusting, no apology and incredibly rude. We then said to cancel our order and we were leaving and we were met with another sarcastic comment, her tone and manner was awful. I get that places are busy but waiting for 45 minutes + for a drink is ridiculous. What made it worse was the terrible attitude of the staff who did not offer any apology or resolution and were just so rude. The people next to us had the exact same experience and cancelled their food order. I am writing to express my disappointment with the level of service I received during my recent visit to your establishment. Despite my anticipation for a memorable experience, I encountered several issues that significantly detracted from my enjoyment. From prolonged wait times for orders to inattentive staff, the overall quality of service fell far below expectations.However, amidst this disappointing service, there was a shining beacon of excellence that I cannot overlook. The DJ (Kevin and Brad)set I had the pleasure of experiencing was nothing short of extraordinary. The seamless transitions, eclectic track selection, and infectious energy created an atmosphere that captivated the entire crowd. It was undoubtedly the best DJ performance I have had the pleasure of witnessing this year.While I hope that improvements can be made to enhance the overall customer experience, I felt compelled to commend the exceptional talent and professionalism of the DJ. I hired HOST upstairs bar for my 40th Birthday party at the beginning of January which was the perfect venue for my special occasion. Lucy, Lyndsay and the team on the night organised the evening with excellent execution. I had arranged 2 different cocktails and beers for my arrival drinks which not only looked incredible but tasted delicious too. I then had a variety of canapés circulating around the room, which was perfect while everyone mingled. The quantity and the size of the canapés exceeded any expectations. All my guests loved the food and the people with special dietary requirements were well catered for and was kept separate from the other canapés. The bar and serving staff on the night were brilliant as was the DJ who came with the hire fee. I was also able to bring in my own sax player for entertainment and could get in the room early to set up which was an added bonus. For any occasion I couldn’t recommend this place enough.
