Great for a special occasion- in fact you have to bear in mind that you will hear the birthday song a fair amount of times on your visit! And with great reason too because is it really your birthday unless you have donned the birthday turban and received your slice of baklava (or cake if provided) adorned with a candle to blow out??
The atmosphere is beautiful with lots of Turkish decorations & ambiance. It is a big open hall, if you have problems with hearing & background noise, you might struggle here- but worth asking for a table against the wall maybe.
The food is great too so definitely worth going for any occasion, not just a special one!! There is a vast selection of food to choose from too with one side of the menu serving Turkish food a the other side Italian food!! A favourite with both my children, one who loves a pepperoni pizza ( he is 10 and can eat a lot and the kids portion of pizza is a good size for him) my daughter is 13 and favours a carbonara which unfortunately is only available in adult size which is too much for her but she gives it a really good try!!
It is a pricey meal and especially if you are also drinking a bottle of Prosecco is £34 a bottle & they keep you topped up efficiently if you get my meaning!
Would I recommend? Yes definitely! We have certainly visited plenty of times and will do so plenty more!!
The atmosphere, service. Experience and food are certainly worth the...
Read moreHave been to Pircio many times and it is one of our favourite restaurants. We went this evening for a birthday meal. We booked for 10 People but we were sat on two different tables which wasn’t what we requested but there was a bit of confusion with the booking so this wasn’t entirely their fault and the man seating us did his very best. We had to stand and wait almost half hour for tables to be close to one another. One of our tables was 4 adults and two young children, one a toddler who ate nothing. We were charged service charge as we were a table of 6. This was almost £20. I said I would like to leave my own tip as I felt this was too much. The man was very rude and aggressive and argued. I explained I had left a tip but service charge is not compulsory and he shouted back “isn’t it!!” I reminded him that it isn’t in this country and I should be able to leave what I feel is appropriate. Unfortunately despite the food being lovely, the rudeness at the end leaves a nasty taste. There was also no social distancing whatsoever, my seat was touching the man behind. Extremely busy due to the eat out to help out which we expected but everyone one was so squashed together. I wouldn’t personally visit again whilst social distancing measures are in place as they are clearly not being adhered to and I wouldn’t particularly want to be served by such a...
Read moreWent to Pircio’s with my friends for a meal that I was thinking I’ll enjoy - Having had friends telling me that it was a very nice restaurant but was completely disappointed in the lack of food!!
The waiter was acting really weird as to telling us that he can only take drink orders when my friend clearly stated that she wanted to order her food as she was really hungry and I was also fasting.
I had very very high expectations with the food as my friends had previously been there and always telling me how nice the food was
I ordered a traditional Turkish dish thinking it will be well presented and the portion will be quite similar to the ones I had in other restaurants but I was very disappointed when my food arrived with the lack of portion!!
I would also like to add that Pircio may look very stylish and the decor may look pretty but I have been to better restaurants then here.
Normally in a Turkish restaurant they would give out starters and hot Turkish bread etc … we just sat there for 15 - 20 mins just looking around and waited a long time for the waiter to come and get our DRINK orders ….
The dessert was the only good thing about my meal which was well represented and actually was a good portion.
The service charge was another nonsense as we paid £16 for nothing…
Overall Would I go again?...
