After eating he a couple of years ago i thought great when my friend booked us a table pre. 60th Birthday. We ordered prawn cocktails not many prawns lot of letuce but we enjoyed. Followed again for us both we ordered Steak medium to well cooked and peppercorn sauce. Unfortunately the sauce was a disappointment my friend poured hers back into jug mine had covered the bottom of my plate likened to milk with peppercorn and not taste to it. We finished our meal and on leaving my friend said she had bought a surprise birthday cake and singing candle she told me when she went to check where it was the waitress had put it upside down in the cream cake and forgot to bring it out so it was put in a take away box. UNFORTUNATELY. THE FOLLING DAY I WAS VERY UNWELL SPENDING MOST OF THE DAY ON THE TOILET. It turned out when i was able to get to doctor's 2 days after eating the meal i was told i had food poisoning which aggravated a stomach ulcer which ended up bleeding on many visits to toilet. My friend then was very unwell and 2 days later cannot leave the bathroom for long. I spoke to the staff at the restaurant after visiting the doctors and they clearly didnt want to know blaming it on something we could of eaten the lunchtime before meal, but we werent together until we met for the meal that we both had eaten the same. I wouldn't go again for sure . Its spoilt my birthday and ive had to loose 2...

I was looking for the best Italian restaurant in Skegness and I found it.As we walked into the restaurant we had a warm welcome and smiles from all front of house staff and shown to our table,Inside the restaurant there was nice to the eye Italian decor and an open plan kitchen so can see your food being tossed and plated Infront of your eyes. The menu was simple but don't be fooled, there is something for everyone,we will get to the price later , our food arrived quickly but not "too" quickly that was a good sign,we had two starters with our four mains ,the starters where massive, all four mains where cooked to perfection,my pizza was bursting with flavour with "clearly home made ingredients, the main of mussels was absolutely packed with them and huge king prawns, most restaurants give you hardly at all ,not at this place. My girlfriend has the risotto that was creamy and not over cooked showing that the chef had skills.waiters drissilng parmesan cheese and black cracked pepper over our shoulders to our own liking, all the food and a drinks came to a shocking low price of only £80 pounds .....!!! I will come to this restaurant every single time I return to Skegness , well done to all the staff and chef's for a wonderful night out with my girlfriend and our friends that came with. Kind regards from...

100% recommended, La Piazza is easily THE best restaurant in chapel/Skegness. After an appalling quality meal at San Rufo's, we was determined to find somewhere with some quality about it, everyone was pointing to La Piazza. We turned up without reservation and was seated straight away, service was spot on, food was brilliant, and the atmosphere was cosy. You can see the chefs at work too so you know its good.

The food: For starters I opted for the mishrooms, it was bubbling hot and simply delicious. For the main I had the lamb ragu, wow, the lamb was so tender, and the flavours of the ragu were wonderful.

My partner for starters has the king prawns with ciabatta, the prawns were suckulant and cooked to perfection with a delicious tomato sauce. For mains she had the Ribeye and asteak , asked for medium, received it medium, and cooked perfectly. The Al pepe sauce was creamy with chunks of mushroom.

We shared a garlic bread tomato, the flavours were divine.

We struggled to finish any of it, so we asked to have it packed as takeout, they happily packed up the rest of our meal so we could take it home.

The servers were attentive and not over burdening.

If you're looking for a great...

Great tasting food served in a friendly atmosphere. They do takeaways too. We chose to eat here because we fancied Italian food and recent reviews here were very good. On a Damp and miserable Tuesday evening in February we (a group of four adults) thought we may be the only ones eating in but there were quite a few covers and the foot fall for takeaways seemed fairly busy too. (Always a good sign). We each had a different main, desert and coffee. Everything was excellent and very tasty. The food seemed freshly cooked to order and was served nice and hot. The restaurant has a nice rustic atmosphere with the kitchen activity visible to the main eating area. We were warmly greeted by the owner. A nice lady from Greece who runs it with her husband. She also served us at the table with a very friendly manner. They have only recently taken over the business so one can only assume that old reviews aren’t really relevant to the current ownership. If our excellent experience can be maintained during busy times and in high season then I can thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
