Came here with my partner after a long walk on the beach. We both opted for a soft drink as neither of us drink alcohol. My partner went in and payed.

He came out and said he’d seen a nice pork pie. I went in to get it to tide us both over until we got back to the caravan.

I went to the counter and politely asked for one, where I was rudely answered that I wasn’t old enough to purchase one as you HAD to buy a pint (alcoholic) with it.

I told the lady that me and my partner had recently brought a drink from the establishment and just wanted a pork pie.

The sign for them stated the price of a pork pie but nowhere stated you had to buy an alcoholic beverage.

She repeated again that I wasn’t old enough. I didn’t argue with her, and just simply showed her my ID that I was old enough and stated that me and my partner didn’t drink alcohol.

She replied in a rude tone that I had to buy a pint else we couldn’t have one.

The lady behind the bar was extremely rude and made us feel really uncomfortable and unwelcome. I told her that I’d leave it. Me and my partner finished our drinks and left the...

A terrific experience. It was very cold as we walked the dog along the sea front so we decided to retreat to the warmth of the pub on the beach. It appeared all the other dog walkers from Lincolnshire had the same idea, dogs accompanied everybody. With dogs being the common interest there was lots of conversation around the pub, dog treats being shared around and all very pleasant. The staff were friendly too, and didn't need to be on a lead. Card payments were not possible during our visit so be sure to bring cash. 19 Nov 2022 A return visit was as cold on the beach with an equally warm welcome in the pub but we didn't have long so made do with hot drinks. Still pleasant memories and a desire to return yet again but next time for a more leisurely stay in this characterful and cheery place. I think an early daytime visit would enjoy the warmth of the sunrise so I'll try...

Had a lovely time here yesterday but unfortunately today has caused us not to want to return. We ordered double Baileys which is usually served as 50ml singles to be advised that it's not when she is working and it never has. Dont be fooled by the 3.00 double offer as it's not a double. Was given ice with the Baileys even though we were not asked. The answer to our 50ml query regarding weights and measures was resolved (as far as she was concerned) with 'ill ask them to look into it' not really resolving anything as far as we were concerned. Looks like it's the bar after on the left toward the small village from now on. We arrived Saturday and have spent money as a family until today at The Admiral Benbow, now over one staff members attitude, we won't be returning but please log back onto this site to see where else we have visited as I dont usually post...

Stopped here for a cuppa on a bike ride. Really nice spot with a warm welcome and reasonable prices. Out front there is a seating area over looking the beach which is designed to give some shelter from a northerly wind. There was Black Sheep on tap which I was tempted by but had long way to go to finish the ride. Some where I will return to for sure.

Such a quaint little gem right by the seashore...... oozing with charm..... staff very friendly and very reasonably priced too..... but most importantly dogs are treated like a member of the family and rightly so.... dog treats available..... bowls of water and mats so they can sit on the seats with you...... a place you must visit 😊 x x x
