Trafalga Inn — Restaurant in East Lindsey

This place is a breath of fresh air. A very clean well kept pub/restaurant. Alot of thought has gone into making your visit really pleasent. The beers, largers etc are very well kept. Rang and booked a Sunday carvery for 12.30, arrived to a friendly welcome and shown to a table, waited a short while and told when to go for carvery, you told the people behind the serving counter what you wanted and the selection was very good and of the belly busting type. You have a choice of meats, 1/2 or three and are really generous but beware the beef has been on occasions very tough so much so people have left on the plate or asked for a sharper knife. The staff are well informed, courteous and friendly. Ordering drinks was made very easy. The food was of a excellent quality. Meals throughout the week are worth a visit too. Evening time bingo etc are on. A small Car park outside. Googled local pub restaurants and found this place, sounded ok so thought we would give it a try, really wished we'd chose somewhere else now. Food was below average for the price they charge, the chips tasted like they were from a chippy on the sea front which we were trying to avoid. Flies were a nuisance, myself and two others didnt finish our meals because of this. Although service was ok, not many smiles from the staff, and regular "walk bys" which gives you the uncomfortable feeling that they think you may leave without paying. We were a group of 5 adults 3 children on a day trip to skegness which was a really good day until our evening meal ruined it. Sorry guys but needs a lot of improvement, we will not be returning. P.S Think some of your reviews may be friends, family, locals...etc which is not fair if misleading the tourists, just saying. Also would recommend replacing the carpet, its an accident...

Wow! Visited for a carvery with family as we were staying nearby for a break away. My oh my what a belly buster it was. A choice of 4 meats and I was tempted by 3. Omg the plate for 3 meats was huuuuge! Was not expecting that at all. Thickly sliced meat, fresh tasting vegetables and other sides all piled onto a plate. Absolutely gorgeous. There wasn't one thing I didn't enjoy apart from the size of it defeating me. I think next time I would ask for 3 meats but ask for the normal oval sized plate. The staff were so lovely, offering the take my little ones plate so I didn't have to carry two and then another staff taking mine when he decided to have a toddler tantrum on the floor. Cannot fault anything about this place from this visit. Car park is a little tricky for larger cars but there are other streets to park on nearby.
