Sunday Lunch today. Looked lovely and large portion size. Waitresses were polite but service was without a smile. The yorkshire pudding was nice, the veg was hard and very undercooked. The cabbage was just the stalks of the cabbage, roast potatoes were overcooked and very garlicky. Carrots were edible. The red cabbage had an odd taste to it (possibly a herb but couldn’t work out what). Turkey was very dry and overcooked and the gravy was gloopy. It is the first time in a very long time that i have come away from a restaurant feeling hungry. I literally couldn’t eat it, very poor quality. My partner ate most of his but didn’t enjoy his either. He went to pay the bill and told the waitress we didn’t enjoy it at all and she said, oh im sorry, we paid then left and won’t be returning.

I always believe that quality should be the selling point not quantity. Ill Gusto definitely delivers on quality and value for money. I had the Hunters breakfast which is the largest full English. The quantity is a perfect size for a large breakfast that doesn't make you feel blotted afterwards. All the ingredients were of a higher quality with great taste. Before coming here I read some of the previous reviews and the one that stood out was the one with the opening sentence "Best breakfast I've ever had..." you can make your own mind up on that but if you are looking for quality in the Skegness area I can highly recommended.

TLDR; Good service and food for a small village cafe Scones a little dense, however nicely warmed up and also served with proper clotted cream. The jam however was refilled and therefore not likely genuine Tiptree jam as stated on the jar. Pepsi was flat. Chocolate cake a little claggy, coffee good and a nice selection of deals to reduce cost. Service was good overall, if a little distracted at times. Good for a little village cafe but wouldn't compete with some bigger brands. Not bad for a pit stop!

So today my sister and I had the set 2 course lunch, my starter prawn cocktail was perfect, and for main course I selected the 10oz rump steak, it was the worst piece of steak I have ever had in my life I wouldn't even feed that to my dogs it was just one lump of gristle with two bites of meat, and overcooked frozen fries I did complain to the waitress but to no avail not even an apology...with the drinks £25 of my hard earned money down the drain I have just come home and had to cook a dinner as I was starving. I will not be eating there again and most definitely will not be recommending it to anyone else. I wish I had paid by card as I didn't even get a receipt the cash was taken and no...
