Papa John's — Restaurant in East Lindsey

Service was absolutely abysmal, tables were backed up as instead of clearing dirty tables, staff were huddled, talking, not clearing tables, watched several empty-handed staff pass by a dish under hotlights, enter back room then come out with nothing. We had a new guy take our order initially. He should have had a shadow as he charged us for things we didn't order and asked my mum questions about the system?

He was saved by Phoebe, the only one there who seemed to have her head on straight, she sorted our order out and we watched her sort out several other orders, all taken by the same new guy. He should not have had free reign taking order.

The food was generally OK, my family had buffet so I can't say much for how long it took to come out, I ordered and it came out not quickly, but not too long. Deserts, on the other hand, were a different story, even ordering deserts at the same time as the main course, and reminding staff, our deserts came out half an hour late.

Misc. Complaints: .We saw the manager take 2 personal calls .Weren't given kids menus, then asked what we wanted off of it .After being there for an hour and a half, we saw a table stay dirty the entire time .Despite specifically asking for ice in our drinks, we weren't given any

Not a big fan of Papa John's, so kept putting this place off on our visits, but decided to finally try it out, since we haven't actually ever eaten in a Papa John's restaurant as apposed to takeaway.

Can't fault the service, we were met with a smile and seated straight away, the lady helping us out with our queries (for some reason, we couldn't find any information about the buffet, so had to ask about it), drinks arrived promptly too.

The food itself, even for a buffet, was really nice, and topped up promptly whenever empty (typically I kept going up just before it was all freshly put out 😂). Prices were pretty much what...

Food was paletable, IF you could get any! We had a "buffet style" evening and the counter was empty more than it was full. I'd say moderately busy, but not overly so. Loads of people waiting around for the counter to be re stocked and then people crowded round like animals because everyone had been left waiting for so long! It appeared they were prioritizing take out orders, which to be honest I wish I had done, given we were feeding 3 and it still cost £43! Won't be coming back again! - as for staffing. 1 guy running around clearing and cleaning tables whilst there are 4 people greeting on the door.... Really??...
