Greggs — Restaurant in East Staffordshire

I recently had a pretty disappointing experience at Greggs, and I’m not sure I’ll be going back anytime soon. I went in during lunch to grab something quick, and it was chaos. The queue was long and unorganized, with only a couple of staff members trying to keep up. When I finally got to the counter, the person serving me was visibly stressed and rushed, barely acknowledging me before taking my order.

I ordered a sausage roll and a coffee, but when I bit into the sausage roll, it was lukewarm at best and tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. The pastry was soggy, and the filling was bland, nothing like the fresh, hot ones I’ve had before. To make things worse, the coffee was weak and almost tasted watered down, definitely not worth the price.

The cleanliness of the store was also questionable. The tables were sticky, and there were crumbs and napkins all over the floor. No one seemed to be keeping the place tidy despite how busy it was. It made the whole experience feel rushed and unpleasant, like they just wanted to get as many customers in and out as quickly as possible, without paying attention to quality.

Overall, it felt like Greggs had completely sacrificed any care for customer experience in favor of speed, and I left feeling unsatisfied and...

Woodville Greggs is mostly what you would expect from any Greggs around the country but I have found that sometimes they are not as on the ball so to speak as some others... normally by 7:30am-8:00am you can expect the sandwiches, baguettes etc to be made and put out ready. Woodville however seems to be a bit behind which can be a problem when you've nipped in early on way out and as well as a quick bacon roll and coffee also want to grab food for later to save having to stop again. I can understand an issue cropping up causing a delay every so often but even after pointing the problem out to the staff it seems to be a continuous issue which I think definitely needs improvement. The other problem with the Woodville branch is the hugely inadequate parking...Greggs, Tesco express and Upos chip shop all use the tiny car park. The entrance and exit to the car park are not signed and are not made a one way system which causes huge problems it's difficult to describe just how bad the parking problem is without photos so I will be adding pics soon. People stopping to use cash point make it even worse causing complete and utter chaos!! I will revise this review...

Worst greggs I’ve ever been to, asked for breakfast cobs to be buttered, they lied and said everything in short supply, I complained to head office and they rang the store for the breakfast order to be re done with spread. Manager came out to staff in a fizz seemingly upset that a customer dare ring up about spread. She abruptly shouted out ‘it’s vegan spread, not butter’ in front of a que of customers trying to belittle me. The young chap threw the order to me without an apology, Thankyou or goodbye. When we got back to work the cobs where far from lightly spread with ‘vegan spread’ the manager clearly...
