⭐️ 1 Star Stopped at this drive-thru for a simple black coffee after forgetting mine at home — but left feeling baffled and frustrated by the experience. Firstly, I drive a small car and found the coffee lid design awkward and frankly unsafe. I politely asked for two brown sugars to be added and was bluntly told that staff “aren’t allowed” to do that. Apparently, it’s at the manager’s discretion whether or not sugar can be added — which is absurd. Ignoring a reasonable request, especially one that impacts health and safety while driving, is unacceptable. Before entering, I rolled myself a cigarette — it wasn’t lit — yet was immediately told “no smoking inside.” That kind of overreach felt unnecessarily aggressive, especially when no rules were actually being broken. Lastly, I noticed the two closest bays to the entrance are not designated for disabled access. Those spots are further away. Isn’t this a form of discrimination? The whole experience felt unnecessarily rigid, unwelcoming, and poorly thought out. Definitely won’t be returning.

I'm not a coffee drinker. In fact I hate the stuff. But I go to Costa with a friend every now and again and its nice to be able to have something other than a bottle of pop. (I don't drink hot drinks). Every now and again I will have a hot chocolate and I very much enjoyed the black forest hot chocolate they had on over the winter months. The mint choc chip frostinos are amazing. Pity all the sugar in it. The food is nice too. Slightly over priced for a little slice of cake or a muffin but the lemon muffins are amazing. This Costa has a drive thru so good for when you don't want to sit in or are on the move. Staff are friendly and polite.

Great store with fast drive thru, and located just off the dual carriageway a38 so good to pop in when you are on the go. Nice store to sit inside, modern comfortable cafe area with a nice relaxed vibe. The usual costa food menu of high quality items. Love the simple stuff like the toast as its great fresh quality and served with real butter. The soup and fruit teas are my fave healthy options. Love the frappes and muffins when having a treat. Great offers on the app and the staff always happy to help.

Watch out for the Parking restriction to 1.5hrs we got a parking ticket for £100. Appealed it got it reduced to £60. Taking it up with Costa UK. Update: Response from Costa was laughable "We do completely understand your frustration but we can confirm that Costa hasn’t any control over the car parking fines. The car park is operated by a third party parking provider and unfortunately we have no control over the time limit imposed or the parking charges and cannot influence any parking fines that have been given out. Parking restriction management is extremely common in retail areas and regardless of whether the car park was used to visit a Costa store, or any other retailers, there is no exemption from these restrictions if the time frames have not been adhered to.  The responsibility will always be with the driver to ensure they are familiar with the terms and conditions of the car park and to adhere to the terms accordingly.

Please be informed there are 3 signs in the Parking area that have been put up by the Parking Provider regarding the 90 minutes stay in store and if customers wanted to stay longer there is also a tablet visibly placed near the tills where car registration details can be entered to avoid the parking fine.

If you have extenuating circumstances relating to your parking fine and you believe you have a genuine reason for an appeal, we strongly advise you follow the instructions detailed on the PCN without delay to prevent the parking fine amount from increasing.

We are extremely sorry that we cannot be of any more help in this instance and trust you will take up your appeal directly with the parking provider.

Kind regards

Costa...

We went twice today as was watching a football match. The first experience of the drive in was extremely pleasant, the staff were friendly, professional and very helpful. I enjoyed the experience very much and even bought a travel mug to replace my leaking one, which is why we returned to get a second cup of coffee for our return journey. The staff member on duty on our return was grumpy, unpleasant and rude to the point of being unhelpful. When I asked for another travel cup, he appeared annoyed, especially when it was dusty and I requested it to be cleaned so that I could have my drink in it. The previous staff had done this before without any fuss, and the drink was given at the drive in window. I was told by this member of staff to go to the drive in bay and wait for the drinks. 2 cups of coffee! 10 minutes waiting. Nobody else in the drive through. When the cups came, he passed them through the window and walked off. No explanation which drink was which or offer of sugar or napkins. Terrible service. Not a single smile or tone of voice to be nice...
