I had a terrible booking experience and they wouldn’t accommodate us for 11, even I said that I don’t mind put the extra table for 4 separately with a pram space on, they still wouldn’t do it ! They wouldn’t have the space to accommodate us for a pram space either !! Then they wouldn’t refund the deposit I booked the table for 6 as they couldn’t accommodate me for extra space, it’s the inflexible and attitude which isn’t in the hospitality industry I expect…
You can tell they are very up themselves! And not used to hospitality! I put the reviews before the manager/owner contact me to address the issues , and then I have received repeatedly disturbing phone calls from them and thought they would apologise for the inconvenience caused by them , when we postponed the booking to Sunday 7th January as we had been told that they wouldn’t refund our deposits. So we might just go ahead to use the deposit. And then I got this “ threaten” email from the own !!! “Good afternoon, I have tried to contact you this afternoon but unfortunately there was no answer. I am disappointed to be informed you have made a google review based at 1 star for the recent booking. As I had mentioned the possibilities of how this could have happened over the phone to give you some understanding, and the information given by the owner on the day and which is more detailed in his response below.
This review needs to be removed as it’s damaging to a new business with already uncertain times for small businesses in hospitality. Otherwise, I will have no option but to cancel your reservation this Sunday and process a refund with you.
If this review is not removed by Saturday 7th January, your table reservation for Sunday 8th January will be cancelled.”

Read moreI have visited Poms 4 times the last 18 months or so with a mixture of good and bad points, but today is the last time I will dine at Poms.
The food is very expensive I had French toast £15 for two slices and 2 strawberries cut up with source, tastes ok but far to expesive for what was deliverd, my partner had Borrito bowl and all the ingredients were cold, rice, sources, veg in the source ect with a hot piece of chicken, it was all mushy with an excessive amount of water at the bottom due to cold ingredients, it was suppose to be cold I might add but it was not nice and again for £20 is insanely poor value for money, one last gripe i have is at payment they add a service chnage ours was £5 but they say you don't have to pay it, making it just an awkward interaction and they do because most people will leave it, don't get me wrong the service was ok but just that ok, they bring your food out and drinks then leave you too it. Overall our meals cost £50 but was probably worth half of that.
Nobodybwould pay that regularly unless it was of the highest quality and unfortunately its not and this isn't just based on this occasion its based on the last few, a real shame nice location but plenty better places to eat in and around the area then Poms

Read moreWe entered to be met by an incredibly rude member of staff behind the counter. No welcome or smile nothing. I asked about the new discount card offer for moorers. To which she replied an instant and definite no that it was not available and a bunch of negative comments. She was not just abrubt she was rude. If she was not aware of the new offers, she could of been polite and professional and said I'm not sure but I will try and found out. But no, my husband showed her the loyalty card and the QR code she rudely replied we don't even have the facility to scan codes, we are not the marina cafe as if to disrespect the cafe. I came outside to double check the deal was still current on my phone. It was, so I returned to show her stating I would never be using Poms or the offer because of how rude she had been. But that she needed the infirmation so she could be better informed for future but she didn't care. Their moto is love people love food. I think not!!!! We always go to Indulgence because of the great food and friendly staff but we thought we would try Poms because the new moorer offer. But we will not be back. She needs a serious amount of customer care training to bring her up to an acceptable standard. Shocked...
