Following a takeover, and a much needed refresh, the harbour is now one of the most attractive bars and burger stops on the seafront. Overlooking the fronts fountains, the beer selection is refreshingly diverse and we'll curated (with an emphasis on local brews). Should you want something a bit more fruity the cocktails are fantastic, with specials changing on a regular basis to give you an excuse to go back and try something new. Just be aware that there's no booking for tables, it's walk ins only! The food menu is hosted by FUP burger who, arguably, are one of the finest purveyors of burgery goodness in the area, and you won't go wrong with anything from the menu (just note that unless you're a big eater, the chips are definitely a sharing size). Its fantastic to finally see this beautifully iconic building finally getting the love and attention it deserves, and would encourage anyone to give the food and the drinks a go.

Was a bit unsure of where to have lunch, opted for the Harbour Inn. It looks very different than you expect from looking at it from the outside... actually quite liked the inside! We were greeted when we went in and quickly found a table, menus have a little bit of variety, and they also have some specials. Kids menu was also available which was good news, and we was told that we could swap some bits if we needed for the kids! Food was nice and lots of different options for drinks. We all enjoyed our food and we were too full for desert! Staff were all friendly, and the place seemed clean. If you get a spot near the window you may also get to watch the bridge go up which is a bit of a novelty! (Both for me and the kids!)

After just arriving in Lowestoft we walked past a few pubs that didn’t excite us enough to go in until we reached The Harbour. It looks good from the outside and is clean and well kept inside. All staff were cheerful and friendly, greeting us when we walked in and telling us it was table service for food. I opted for the pie of the day and Mrs D chose the fish and chips, each costing just £13, which is excellent value for money. The pie was packed full and the pastry was beautifully crisp and flaky. The fish was nice and thick with crisp batter and accompanied by a large pile of chips. A great find which I totally recommend.

We popped in today after a visit to lowestoft beach. It was about lunchtime and we only waited about 5 minutes for a table which we found very reasonable. We ordered 3 10oz rump steaks and a chicken burger, all of which were perfectly cooked and very well portioned. Social distancing was observed well and they have a one way system in place, one door to come in, the bar itself acts as a roundabout and then when you're finished you exit via another door. The pub was kept clean and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend the Harbour Inn.

We arrived about 7:30 to a very busy pub restaurant and were told there was a 40 minute wait for food which we were happy to wait for. There were 3 servers. One behind the bar and 2 bringing food/drinks to tables. We were told a couple of times about the wait and they apologised each time. The food was good. My husband had steak which was good and I had a burger (no bun or tomato as requested) good as well, we both had loads of chips (too many really). I was very impressed at how hard the servers worked and how customer oriented they were.

Nice bar and restaurant. I was staying locally and just fancied fresh fish and chips and this place popped up on a Google search. We weren't disappointed, the staff were friendly and efficient, the service was great and the food really, really tasty. The fish was beautifully cooked and I don't know how they cooked the chips but they were amazing. (I wish I'd taken another photo of the fish and chips, my picture does not do it justice). Also the door says it's heavy, and it is, it made me laugh for some reason!
