When we arrived we were very quickly greeted by a member of staff, who was very polite and friendly, she showed us to our table and then pointed us in the direction of the toilets as our daughter (aged 7) needed to go. She gave us our menus and bought over a pack of crayons for our daughter to colour her menu/activity sheet. We were told the kitchen closes at 9pm but we didn't feel rushed to order. We ordered 2 mixed grills and a child's hunters chicken and it wasn't a problem to take the bbq sauce off of her meal. We also ordered a peppercorn sauce and the bbq sauce for our meals. Service was quick and the waitress was happy to answer any questions we had. The food is fantastic! It was all lovely and fresh and piping hot which was great. The meat was cooked perfectly, it was juicy and tasted amazing! The sauces we ordered were fabulous and complemented our meals perfectly. My husband said the bbq sauce was the best he had had in a long time! All of us cleared out plates and then we ordered some puddings. We ordered a hot chocolate fudge cake, a rocky road sundee and a child's chocolate Sunday. The portions were a good size and it was all very enjoyable. The only criticism was the the chocolate fudge cake was a little dry but it didn't affect the overall enjoyment. We were on the last day of our holiday and traveling back home the next day, we wish we had found this restaurant sooner as we would of been there every night! Great value for your money and everything was lovely and clean. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a...

Springtide has been a regular meeting point for me and my family for years now. It has always offered a great selection of food and offered great alternatives for a couple of us that are dairy free. When we came Saturday, there seemed to be a new menu. For someone who is dairy free, you have previously offered milk alternatives for hot drinks and vegan desserts. This time, they said that you no longer offer milk alternatives. I was also very excited that there was a vegan crumble for dessert and I asked if they had vegan ice cream, the answer was yes. However, when the crumble came out, they then told me they don't do vegan ice-cream anymore or no vegan cream or custard meaning there was nothing I could have with the crumble, which if I was told that before it had come out, I wouldn't have ordered it. It was incredibly dry and I did not enjoy my dressert - incredibly disappointed. It wasn't until the next day when we were talking about our meal, that most people didn't particularly enjoy their meal. They said the burgers were dry, the steak was tough and the burger buns were burnt. They weren't even offered a steak knife! Safe to say, I think after Saturday, our family will likely find somewhere else to...

We booked a table for 10 (6 adults and 4 children) for lunch, as we had family visiting from Spain and London. The moment we walked in we were made to feel extremely welcome by the entire team, nothing was too much trouble. Our server (Claire) remembered us from the last time we had seen her (approx. 4 years ago!). The menu was extensive and we spent some time choosing, but were never made to feel rushed at all. Our full compliments to the chef, everything was done to perfection.

On making our selection, we had drinks and starters, followed by desserts for those that had enough room for them (and more drink refills of course!) Everything was delicious and our visiting family were amazed at the quality of food and how well they were treated by your staff. We will definitely be returning on a more regular basis. Thank your team so much for a wonderful experience at your restaurant. One of our sons (Zen aged 10) had this to say whilst we were eating - he even insisted on typing it himself: "I need to leave a review, the food is brilliant but the best part of it was...

Visited again on 08/07/2024 and was again served by Jenny and Hilary who were both excellent. Strangely, another couple of food connoisseurs remembered our service dog Athena and made a real fuss which really made us very happy. Great food, great price and great service. Thanks. Jenny is an excellent host (all the staff are but we were served by Jenny). We take our service dog Athena in and the first thing after seating us is not what would you like but "Let me grab a bowl of water for Athena". The doggie menu is unique - never seen one before so Athena had rump steak and veg.

First time here Spring Tide lowestoft part of the Marsden group of restaurants. Nice layout and fairly spacious and works reasonably well without screens that you have for social distancing that some restaurants have in place these days. The food was OK. Nicely presented but with only half a small pot of coleslaw and a kids portion of fries. Obviously portion and control is being utilised to the full and I think it shows. The carvery is brought to you now and without the face to face they sure skimp on the meat. A sign of the Times I guess.

First time coming here since we moved to Lowestoft, and although it's a little pricey, the food and service were immaculate. I ordered the Beer Battered Fish and Chips, a pub classic, and it tasted fantastic. Not to mention, the portion sizes were very generous, too. We spent just over £50 for 2 starters and 2 mains and a couple of drinks each. It's definitely not the cheapest around, but the service and food more than make up for this. Overall, I'll definitely be back in the near future. Thank you for a very pleasant experience!
