Went to Fisherman's Wharf as a family unit based on food recommendations. Sat outside, however food not being served (not the venues fault) two drinks were purchased, reentered to order further drinks informed that they were no longer serving. Went across the way to the far better new venue and got drinks returning to the outside seating. We were told that we could drink from other establishments (despite not serving us and in the process of closing) informed that the FW wasn't open to further orders and informed the same that we cannot drink there basically throwing out the family from the public pier! The rude drinks collector attempted to take a drink placed o the table 1/3 full seemingly in response to believing that it was from another venue. Proceeding to argue that it was 'done and empty'. We left and sat at the other venue unable to understand why the bar staff had such an attitude problem and working outside of the family friendly inclusive ideology I was led to believe. I would recommend that NOONE fo here instead go to the newer venue which was pleasant polite and engaging. MANNERS DONT...

Amazing staff, amazing food. The drinks are very expensive but the food is underpriced.

I had a cheese and bacon burger which came with very big fresh homemade onion rings and salad and near on half a bag of French fries all cooked perfectly. The burger was huge and meaty and very appetising, no sauce in the burger but a nice selection of sauce on a carrier.

We also ordered a jacket potato with prawns, the tato was piled up high with juicy little prawns coated in MR sauce and came with a salad 🥗

Finally we ordered a sandwich which was also prawn and filled generously

Both the meals were accompanied with a large portion of onion rings for only £3.50

Drinks were appx £4 each but were definitely needed as portions...

Delve into the darkest recesses of your mind. Think back to the worst working mens clubs you have ever been to in the North or Wales and you won't come close. This is a pub that embraces everything that is bad about that culture. But I might be paying them a disservice. They are after all catering to a need. The need to go on holiday and feel comfortable. To feel at home. Lowestoft fulfills all those needs, as does this pub. Ankle biters running round creating havoc. 70's music blaring out. All that is needed is a bingo session to make the customers feel at home. There are many nice pubs in Lowestoft- this is not...

What happened to this once vibrant pub? It is now filthy! Glasses stacked outside on rotting unsafe tables, with no umbrellas and rubbish everywhere. The toilets are like something from Victorian Britain, leaking, broken lights and no toilet roll -they stink! The signage outside has fallen off and is stripped of paint. Staff seem to enjoy sitting behind the bar on the table nearby doing naff ALL apart from going out for a smoke. Where has the effort gone? This once bustling pub on the pier is now a ghost of its former self. It looks run down, it looks dirty and it looks like I wont be back!!

A dog friendly bar must be a first. It is a nice bar with a nice atmosphere. Very clean with a good view of the tide rolling in. A big plus was the Adnams on sale. It was Rather breazy but the Sun was shining and still good to sit outside. They sell food which looked good but never tried it. A good place to visit any time,in the summer it would be perfect.
