I always wonder how Wetherspoons manage to do so many things well, for prices way less than anybody else. More of that presently. Despite it only being 1130, the place was already packed, but just as I arrived to meet my guest, a couple vacated a lovely little table in the window, so I nabbed it and went in search for my friend. Once settled, I used the 'Spoons' app to order and, despite the hordes, drinks arrived almost instantly. It transpired that Thursday is the curry club day, so we both chose that. Rita, 90 in September, chose chicken korma and I opted for beef madras. Both arrived speedily with naan bread and a couple of poppadoms. The deal included drinks. Rita had a lime and soda and I chose an alcohol free Stella. Total bill for that lot, £22.98. Not only was it incredible value, the curries and accompaniments were all excellent, served really quickly and piping hot. Sticky toffee puddings with extra sauce and ice cream added another £8.40. As I sit on the train home writing this, I remain hugely impressed. Tim Martin's operation is slickly efficient and must be the envy of much of the competition.

First time here, different idea of get your own table and then use an app to order food and drinks. plus side is you pick, pay and then can leave whenever you want. downside is need good WiFi to download the app! food was basic but affordable fare, it was satisfying as we're were hungry but I wouldn't go super out of my way for it again. however the vibe is fun, hustling and bustling. it's a game to find a table in the nooks and crannies. I'm so GLAD they had Kombucha. I don't drink so that bubbly non alcohol beverage is nice to have separate from soda pops. husband loved the nachos. decent size for 4 quid. I had a bean chili on jacket potato. it was a good portion but could have been a little hotter, place is so busy it probably sat for a bit in the kitchen. all in all a fun place.

We weren't sure what to expect, as we'd never stayed at a Wetherspoon hotel, but it was genuinely a great place to stay. Our room was a really good size, very clean and well appointed. The pub itself is what you'd expect from a Wetherspoon's, offering good value food and drinks - there was also the added bonus of free tea and coffee for guests staying at the hotel. Of course there is some noise from the pub, but you'd expect that and it didn't hinder our stay or sleep in any way. All in all, a great value hotel in a good location - definitely a great option if looking to stay in Beccles.

If you have any sort of disability i would not recommend this hotel ... unless there were hidden ground floor rooms everything is a narrow winding staircase away.. and if you have no sense of direction it's a maze ! ||Apart from that the rooms are very clean, very spacious, with irons tea facilities a tv and a lovely big shower (some rooms have a bath too)... |Obviously there are rooms that over look a noisy garden seating area and Spoons have late closing... |I would add although they offer 2 pillows each they are a puff of air so not very comfy ... ||We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and were staying for the bank holiday (parachute jumping 1st thing on the Monday 10 mins away) so just the one night .. we parked in the square outside which states = only one hour parking Monday to Saturday ... so we asked reception was this OK to leave overnight and she didn't really know ... we did and it was fine .. but like I say we left by 815am..||Lovely little place want to go back and visit properly ...||Food was obviously cheap and lovely..|Breakfast was cold and we were the only people there at 7am ! So don't know why they left it under the heat lamp! |Any way all in all a...
