Di Lieto's Coffee Lounge — Restaurant in Eastbourne

It’s a real shame how much this restaurant has changed in the last few months. There used to be a number of waitress that was so good. Very prompt, kept an eye on what was happening and it just run so efficiently. I have been a number of times since they seem to have all left and it’s so disappointing. On my last visit, a young blond lady was just rude. We waited for about 15 minutes ( only 5 table customers there) she decided to ignore us and have a chat with the chef. Tables were dirty and she couldn’t be bothered to clean them. Then moaned at the only other waitress who was working. Ignored a lady who asked for a coffee and made her wait for 20 mins. Rude to other customers and rude at me when I went up to order because she couldn’t be bothered to come over and then as the boss came in, decided to actually work. I and members of my family have twice left now as the service is so slow to begin with and they just don’t seem to want to serve you. The old waitress need...

Our usual place we for to was closed on Monday, so thought we would try this place. I couldn't see any free tables and was about to leave when a lovely lady said there was a table and asked for a moment to clean it.

The whole place inside and out was very clean.

Didn't have to wait long for drinks or food. Coffees were hot, bacon and egg sarnie came with crisps and a little pot of mix fruit, which we thought was weird, but it worked.

Every member of staff was very friendly and full of positive energy with everyone.

We have found a new favorite 😍 🙌

Edit Went back today (Wednesday). Waited for outside table for about twenty minutes, the waitress recognised us from the other day and even remembered what we ordered.

Today we tried something different, and it was lush picture added.

Again service was friendly and attentive.

Well...

Eat the sandwiches. The rest of the menu looks great, but I've usually never got past the sandwiches, they're that good.

I had the full English breakfast a couple times, it's good but the sandwiches still win.

The staff are attentive and helpful, you'll never sit for too long waiting for service.

The atmosphere is variable, on a sunny still day you can sit outside by the water in the marina basin and it's five stars all the way, but on a windy or cold day, you'll have to choose between your food blowing away and sitting inside. Also there's usually no seagulls here because they're in town attacking the unsuspecting tourists, but be prepared to fight off the occasional one if...
