The owner was nice, I accidently called them and they did in the end give me a refund. I wasn’t happy with the pizza quality (it’s hit or miss) so I called up and the manager was aggressive over the phone, extremely rude, accused me of being difficult with previous orders. (Sometimes I’m ordering for other people other than myself, such as a vegetarian and there was a time they put meat on the pizza so yes there was another time I did complain on behalf of someone else, pretty wild to start accusing me over the phone though) I calmly said I would change the pizza over for a new one and the manager told me that if I wanted to have a refund I would have to drive down. I had flu, but I still drove down. When I entered, she refused me a refund and shouted at me in front of customers. Told me she was pregnant? then threatened me with my details. She told me she could see my name, address and number. The pizza was stone cold at this point and I just had to leave and send off a complaint email. I was refunded in the end, but that manager was unprofessional, unreasonable and must be horrendous to work around. From a teenager I spent hundreds at this branch, I even became friends with the delivery guy. I decided to order again on the basis that I wouldn’t have to call up and speak to her again. The next delivery took 1hr and 45 minutes to arrive....
Read moreTwo hairs in pizza! I collected two pizzas from Langley on 26th October 2019. While finishing one with my son, I pulled a hair from my mouth! Feeling somewhat nauseated I pushed on with the next slice only to be stunned by yet another hair! I called the Langney branch to complain. The manager told me to drive back at my time and expense with the pizza. No apology was given. On arrival I showed the said manager the hairy pizza, photo shown. He took it away and told me to take a seat while they made another to replace it. Again, no apology. 10 mins later a different member of staff called me over to collect the pizza. I asked where the manager was, he didn't know. I asked if this was all Domino's were going to do to address the matter, to which he said that I have my replacement pizza. Again no apology. Stunned, I just left, took the pizza home, but then threw it away as I couldn't face eating it. I have sent two emails, including the photo, to the UK head office with no response whatsoever. No apology or acceptance that this even happened. There are serious management and health standards failings with this establishment. But no one will admit it as when they have the pizza back and proof is gone they refuse to acknowledge the event and hope you just go away. Shame on...
Read moreThis franchise has become much better over the past six months. There were times when staff preparing pizzas and other 'assembly' food items would clearly take a rather complacent attitude towards the distribution of items. The arrival of one's well anticipated order could present interesting reactions when said pizza would have (as an example) 90% of the peppers on 1/3rd of the pizza and sausage covering only 1/4th of the pizza...and olives applied as if they were gold sovereigns..just a scintilla. It could be quite frustrating as well as deflating. But I'm pleased to report that the past six orders we've received presented thoughtfully and mathematically balanced distribution. Our only remaining concern is with this franchise's less than impressive cleanliness rating of '3.' Whilst certainly not the worst, its' only one tick point away from a '2' which could be a wise deterrent for any diner to avoid at all costs. Yet it's an excellent incentive for both the franchisee, as well as the franchisor's management to take immediate action to ensure the cleanliness rating is next graded as a '5,' the highest rating in the UK's food service industry. Yes, we live in hope for a more favourable review, as well as an equitable distribution of toppings...
