Tall Guy Coffee Co. — Restaurant in Eastbourne

The most disgusting coffee I’ve had. Incompetent, clueless, rude workers at this location. I wanted to give this place a try awhile back because they offer boba. When I went in, I tried to order traditional pearls but the girl rudely told me that don’t have that so I left but I decided to give this place a try again for actual coffee since I saw online that they had a raspberry mocha frappe. I asked the girl working today if they could do that and she said “no we don’t have that but we have a ruby chocolate” so I asked if that had coffee and she said no but could make it into a coffee since they don’t do raspberry. The boy working with her had to point out the raspberry syrup that was in front of her face. This girl was a ditz. This was already a rocky start so I had a feeling the coffee would be awful and it sure was! I ordered a raspberry mocha frappe and it was the sweetest, most sickly thing I’ve tasted. I had to trash it. Too much raspberry and the chocolate tasted off. I should’ve just went to costa or Starbucks. This place hires clueless children to work. I’d also like to mention that not a single one of them was behind register when we arrived, just gossiping in a corner and went back into after we ordered. Not a single good thing...

Went in today, Staff were quite pleasant when I came in. After I made my order I went to sit down on a table at the back of the store and a member of staff behind the counter told me. “Sorry, we’re just about to sweep and mop that area” Which meant I couldn’t sit there.

Confused as to why the staff where cleaning down this area at 3pm I asked what time they closed, she told me 6pm. I said so is no one going to sit here until you close? Or will they have to wait till it dries ? (But they’d then have to clean up again) In my experience, it was their way of cleaning down the back end of the shop because they knew not many more customers would be in and that’s a head-start to the closing process which they thought would get them out early on a Friday.

She looked at me as if she was annoyed and said “yeah okay you can sit there”. I didn’t bother I went to the front end of the store and sat there instead.

I’ve been in here a few times before and never had any issues staff are always very polite! The sandwiches all taste fresh, good coffee, and the white chocolate hot chocolate is unreal!! The shop is placed in a good part of town, very easy...

After buying a coffee I sat outside and finished my drink, just before which I had an epileptic seizure which lasted until after I’d finished my drink, I went back into the cafe and asked for a mug of tap water with ice (as getting hot and dehydrated is part of my condition) the tall guy who served me gave me a look that said “how dare you” and then proceeded to serve everyone behind me in the cue, he made no effort to make my drink and passed on the order to another employee who gave me a tiny glass with no ice during my waiting time I felt more and more unwell, this whole story is worsened by the fact that I’m a regular and had told the member of staff who served me my first drink that I’d had a seizure that day and was...
