No menu displayed in the window so we had to go inside to look at one. They had hand sanitiser & a QR code which was excellent. None of the staff acknowledged us or asked if they could help. We found a menu &, after deciding there were things we liked, we took it to a table to actually decide; still nothing from the staff. We made our choices & continued to sit there whilst also trying to catch the attention of a staff member (we didn't know if it was table service or not). Eventually a young lass said it was order at the till. So, 1 bacon, brie & cranberry baguette, 1 salmon, avocado & cream toastie, 1 iced mocha & 1 iced latte........only at this point was I informed they had run out of baguettes & panini's!! Back to OH at the table to decide what to do! We were considering leaving when a member of staff came over to say she had found some baguettes; Ok, we stayed. My toastie looked & tasted lovely & was very full; OH was a bit disappointed with his though, lots of bacon, bit too crispy, plenty of cranberry but very little brie. My latte was ok but not stunning, quite tasteless; OH's mocha was more like cold hot chocolate, very grainy & you'd be hard pushed to know there was any coffee in it! We might go back but there are other places we'll be...

Sadly, this is clearly no longer the place to be. Apparently , it has changed hands and this is definitely not a good thing. Place wasn't very clean , absolutely zero atmosphere, only one of the "old" staff members remained and she was the only one who smiled, and where have all the wonderful locals gone!!?? Even the lovely motorcycle guy who from what i could tell practically lived there had gone from his usual outside spot, now replaced by two repugnant, vulgar men who seem to be the type of customer this cafe now attracts (they were there outside everyday and honestly the language was disgusting but clearly very friendly with the new owner). Oh and the prices now! £3.50 for a very standard sausage roll and £4.50 for a large latte with syrup. Such a shame, this really was my favorite place to visit when...

Above was my original review, the new owner not happy with this deemed it necessary to approach me about it and even square up to me, very much encroaching into my personal space.
As if this wasn't enough he then deemed it appropriate to push me with his elbow while he got his friend to film as I told him to back away from me.
far from professional and...
