Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Eastleigh

My daughter desperately needed the toilet today and went to ask where this was. The blonde lady at the counter said she doesn't know. When confronted, she said my daughter "didn't specifically say OUR TOILET" but she just asked for the toilet. So, next time I need to teach her to be more specific when she is asking for something. Needless to say my daughter was almost in tears when we left. And noticed the blonde lady rolling over her eyes whilst explaining to another customer how inappropriate my daughter's behaviour was. I have been here several times for coffee and cake but never coming back. The lady at the counter had an accent-nothing to do with anything, I also have an accent, but just to make her easier to recognise in case she does this to someone else. I visited on Christmas Eve, shortly before closing time, with a friend who's severely mentally handicapped. The staff accommodated him without fuss or bother. The environment was clean and comfortable. The background music will be to some people's taste and not to others'. The hot drinks were fine, but the prices are unreasonably high -- obviously, you're paying for the environment, not the drinks themselves, which is fine if you consider it worth the price. One of the worst branches I ever visited, especially with hospitality and waiting times to get served even when its not busy. I was on my own and wanted to sit in, but I have been forced to take my order takeaway, even though, I mentioned that I’m happy to wait for a table either inside the store or outside, the lady said you are not allowed to wait here ( when others were allowed and waiting in front of me).
