First time visiting (~2 weeks after renaming as Wood Cafe). Will definitely be our go to place. Walked in to try something new. Jumped at the opportunity to try outdoor seating (thank goodness the waiter mentioned this as we were not aware there was outdoor seating)- although the interior looks lovely and seating indoors is the type of chairs you sink into and never want to up from.
Anyway most importantly the lovely waiter (we did not take his name) made us feel like we were the only guests there, was so friendly, patient, and attentive).
Now the food...complements to the chef! We had 2 veggie breakfasts (in the afternoon- love all day breakfasts)- we wiped them out quickly. Generous portions and loved that the mushrooms were small and crispy (not the usual sogginess you find usually) and the tomatoes were small (again not the usual whole squidgy tomatos).
We could not miss the opportunity to try the waffles so made our own creation- was amazing. I had the fresh orange juice which was so sweet and refreshing.
The outdoor seating area (especially as the weather was beautiful) took us somewhere tropical!
Well done guys, will definitely be back...

Went to Cafe Wood for a vegan breakfast—big mistake. Ordered two vegan sausages, hash browns, and brown toast. Asked if they had vegan butter, and the staff reacted like I'd just asked for a unicorn steak. Apparently, vegan butter is too fancy for a place with "Vegan Breakfast" on the menu.
The sausages? Barely lukewarm, as if they'd been politely waved near a microwave but not actually introduced. The toast was dry enough to double as sandpaper, and their sauce sachets? Filled with less than half the sauce. Are they rationing ketchup for a global shortage we don’t know about?
The decor was the highlight—if only I could enjoy it without feeling like a toddler at a grown-up’s table. My chair sat so low I half expected the staff to bring me a booster seat.
All in all, I left Cafe Wood with my hunger intact and my faith in vegan breakfasts shattered. Wouldn't come back if...

The culinary experience here is absolutely divine! I tried the Squid Ink Pasta, and it was a revelation of flavors. The rich, velvety sauce combined with perfectly cooked pasta and tender seafood was a taste explosion. Their Fried Chicken was a crispy, flavorful delight that left me craving for more. And don't get me started on their Vegetarian Dish in French Style—it's a symphony of herbs and textures that any food lover must experience.
