I went here last night with a few friends for one of there birthdays, I had a whole glass of wine spilt over me and they didn’t even go to change the cloth until I asked about 20 mins later to be rudely responded too ‘let me take your orders first’ over an hour had passed and they came out to ask if we wanted anymore drinks, so I said I’m fine for a drink thanks just want too know how long the food will be, to then the waiter began to mumble on about how many staff and what conditions it is down stairs so I just asked again how long it will be and the waiter just kept beating around the bush and wouldn’t give me a time at which that point I wanted to just stand up and leave. My friends seemed pretty happy so I stayed. We had all finished our food which was half decent and we were ready too go bearing in mind we were upstairs so we asked for the bill, to then be RUDLEY told too go downstairs and pay?????? Sorry I don’t realise that’s how Indian restaurants worked. When I got down stairs I asked if I can pay and the guy said I don’t know what you had, to which I replied I will tell you and the face on him was like a slapped arse, I ended up paying over £20 for a corma, rice, coke and popadoms. This was hands down the worst experience I had ever had in a restaurant and advice anyone that reads reviews to NOT GO ANYWEAR NEAR THIS HOSTILE PLACE (don’t even like calling it a restaurant because it really didn’t feel like that) they would clearly see we had been drinking so thought they could take full advantage of...
Read moreBooked this restaurant 1 week in advance for our 30th wedding anniversary.arrived on time to find long queue of people in front of us who had all booked and had all been waiting over half an hour.after 20 minutes we were still waiting, people in front still waiting. People arriving behind queueing out of the door and down the street one of whom told us he had phoned the hour before and been told they could fit his party of four in.Staff were unhelpful and unfriendly.Cant comment on the food as we did not get to try it although diners at the tables were audibly complaining at the time taken to get food or even have orders taken. We decided to leave having wasted cab fares and a considerable amount of our evening. Thanks Gaylord for completely ruining or 30 th anniversary.Worst service we ve ever had at any...
Read moreSuch a horrible dining experience. I’ve never known such rudeness eating in a restaurant and completely ruined the experience. With the cost of things we rarely get together and I feel so shortchanged that a rare night out was ruined by the attitude of the staff. Myself and my family were the only table but one in there. We were rushed when choosing what to have, menus snatched out of hands, eye rolls, sighing, tapping of watches. Just such rudeness all round. When I went to the toilet there were 3 waiter standing there spraying deodorants under their arms so that was gross. On top of that the food wasn’t even amazing. Curry was very sweet. It was just uncomfortable to sit there. Couldn’t relax with people sighing and making it very obvious they wanted to get...
