Visiting the area we were wanting to stop off for some dinner last night. We spotted Cargo as we walked past and decided to try it. My husband went in to order and my daughter and I went to find a seat around the side of the unit. The Chef was on his break at a table and I asked him if we could sit at the tables. Yes of course he said and also told us there were tables inside. I asked if he was going to cook my tea for me and he asked what we were ordering. He then went straight inside to start cooking. I now think that Chef was the owner of the business. The staff were polite and the food was delicious. The portion sizes were good and the food was hot. We had a halloumi burger, buttermilk chicken burger and a nacho burger. All plentiful and very filling. As I left I thanked the Chef and the girls who were working there. Sadly it's too far from home to visit regularly but if I lived nearby...

I recently visited Cargo for a takeaway lunch, and I was extremely disappointed with both the service and the food quality. After ordering my cheeseburger fries, I overheard the waitress and the female cook mocking how I placed my order. This unprofessional and rude behavior was both shocking and upsetting.

When I finally received my food, it was barely hot and of mediocre quality at best. The cheeseburger fries were far from impressive, which only added to my dissatisfaction.

Overall, my experience at Cargo was disheartening. The poor service and inadequate food quality ensure that I won’t be returning. I recommend avoiding Cargo and instead seeking out other takeaway outlets that offer better food and a more respectful...

Cargo is a fantastic little spot right on Porthleven Harbour, perfect if you’re craving proper comfort food. The menu focuses on hearty classics — burgers, ribs, and hot dogs — and they do them really well. The beef burger was juicy and full of flavour, while the chicken burger came with quite a kick (definitely on the spicy side, so worth noting if you’re not into heat). The ribs were rich and satisfying, and everything feels freshly prepared.
