As a 25-year-experienced interior architect, I was really looking forward to visiting such a beautiful place, but it’s disappointing that it’s now somewhere to avoid because of the shockingly rude staff.

The moment you walk in, you’re left struggling to find anyone to help. Then, this really rude blonde staff member just says, ‘Go to the bar; someone there will help you,’ and waves you off. In another part, another staff member is just as uninterested, and in the end, you leave without having had a single drink or bite to eat.

Had an absolutely delightful afternoon tea experience at The Manor House. The setting was stunning, with elegant decor and a cozy ambiance that made it perfect for a relaxing afternoon. The tea selection was extensive, and each blend was served to perfection. The sandwiches, scones, and pastries were not only beautifully presented but also incredibly delicious, especially the freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam. I have to be honest when I say that I expected better. Service was slow and considering we were told that there were unlimited tea/coffee refills, no member of staff approached us to ask if we wanted a refill. In fact, I sent my daughter to ask for more tea. When it came, the waiter dropped one of the tea strainer and dishes on the floor, picked it up and put it on our table to use! The cream tea itself was delicious- the wild garlic scone with sciracha butter was amazing. Was it worth what my daughters paid? No. Staff were nice, decor lovely, just lacking...
