Note: We've never eaten in. So, this review is only on my experience ordering take out.
Firstly, ordering - which I did via hungry house. There was no option to choose the spiciness of the per-peri marinate, so I rang to ask it be extra hot. The person who I spoke to seemed to care less. Delivery - I recieved my order within the time frame given. Great. But, due to the entire order being in tied together plastic carrier bags, found marinade leaking out of the foil keep warm bags; pots of sauce completely emptied and swilling around in the bottom of their plastic bag; and, finally the wrong order of drink. Oh, the French fries were ok. We tasted the chicken - extra hot peri-peri? Actually, it didn't even tickle our thoats. And, seems like the peri-peri had just been basted on an hour before, rather then properly marinated over night, as you must with peri-peri. Rang the delivery driver, to be told, "Nothing to do with me. It's the shops fault. Ring them". Hmmm. Fare enough. Rang the restaurant, and explained. "That's the hottest (spiciest) we got". Oh, ok. So, what about my drink order? "We don't do 7up in bottles. That's hungry house's fault. They ain't changed it". Hmmm, well that's not really my problem. Or a solution is it? Either of us here like Pepsi. And why didn't you explain that when I rang about the marinade? "Oh.Hang on", as he shouted to a colleague. "Right, someone will be round with 4 cans of 7up". Hmmm...may of been a better idea to of included those in the first place..? Less than a minute later we get a call from one of their delivery drivers, "I can't find the address. Where are you?" Didn't you just deliver here 15 minutes ago? "No, weren't me. I've a food order for your address" But, we've had our food order. Now, we're awaiting a replacement for our bottle of drink. (pause) "I don't know about that. Better you ring the shop about that". Frustrated, bemused, and just about to call the restaurant again, our replacement drink order was at the door. At this point I must say, the guy with our replacement was polite, seemed sincerely apologetic, if also very bemused when he heard about my last call from their 2nd delivery person. But, really had nothing to say about the leaking bags, spilled sauces, quality of marinade, except, again "Sorry".
So, in all, a very poor experience - in ordering; in customer service; in quality of food. Also, this was a Thursday evening. I'd hate to think what it maybe like on a Friday, or Saturday? Safe to say, in future, we'll be giving...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUsually love this place however tonight not so much. I ordered food I waited 1 hour and 20minutes and what came was wrong. I order here regular and always use their website. Ordered a burger and clicked the no sauce option and paid for extra patty. When it arrived there was only a single patty and was covered in mayonnaise. When I rang and asked why chips were missing and the burger Iād asked for no sauce I was told no problem we will send out fresh now. To then recieve a phone call back to assure me he watched the chef make my burger and there was 2 patties put in. Clearly not as it came with 1 patty and Iām not gunna lie and say there was only 1 when there wasnāt Iām a regular customer here. To then be told there is no sauce in it neither just mayonnaise. Mayonnaise is a sauce! They did not put mustard or ketchup in. But put mayonnaise. To be told I should have opted for no mayonnaise as no sauce is just ketchup and mustard. There is no option to specify which sauces just no sauce I click this option every time I order as my son is allergic to mayonnaise and any other time itās been delivered with no sauce including mayo lol! Another 30 minutes passes and they did redeliver a fresh burger and the missing fries after I handed back the first burger to the driver. Issue was rectified 2hours after ordering but itās the service recieved on the phone calls as if I was being made out to be a liar over the second patty or told i should of opted differently when ordering when the mistakes where thereās and not mine. Wonāt...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOrdered our food at 7:30pm to supposedly be delivered between 8:30 and 8:50⦠it FINALLY arrived at 9:20 pm after calling to ask where it was NUMEROUS times to be told it will be two minutes- CLEARLY NOT. The lady who was first dealing with my complaint also was repeatedly calling me mate during the call. HOW unprofessional?! And the perfect way to annoy someone who is already upset and been waiting an hour and a half! . And then it still took a further 30 mins! Asked to speak to a manager who I asked for discount due to the massive wait and after three phone calls to them whilst being fobbed off each time, to be told that the manager that is on shift canāt do anything like that?! What is the point in having a āmanagerā on site who canāt actually deal with anything and has no more power than the staff when it comes to dealing with anything. No apology given at all either until the final phone call I made. Absolute joke of a service to be quite honest wonāt be back and will deffo be telling people about this shocking...
