Great town central library, the library itself is spread out over two floors with the second floor accessed via a lift or stairs. The ground floor has the library itself as well as the local council offices. The second floor has computers, archives and a cafe. The library itself is clean and tidy with ample literature. There is a kids section towards the rear of the library with a equal quality of book for the little ones. They also have self check outs and check in computers so you can do it yourself or go to the desk and have the librarian do it for you. The staff are friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. There are male, female and disabled toilets within the library, which are clean and modern. Nice Cheap place to go with the kids on a...
Read moreI love Stockton Library it's full of natural light and airy built in the 1960s it has a retro feel to it though it still does not look outdated. Apparently the second floor is warmer than the first floor especially now that the heating energy bills are increasing. If the library seems too noisy for studying etc there is always the more quiet reference side opposite. Also has various groups and a maker station with sewing 🧵🪡 machine's, over lockers, embroidery machine etc which the public can use for free,at various dates and times. Also activities for children's storytime and playtime groups. Stockton Library is a community library...
