Almondsbury Creative — Restaurant in England

I was pleasantly surprised by this interesting venue with its distinct yet confusing name when visiting for Sunday Lunch as part of a group of 20 last weekend.

The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming and a great place for the kids to explore and enjoy. Its big - sprawling almost, with a skittle alley and a small cinema as well as a huge bar space. I great place to relax and settle into.

The drinks are have delightfully retro prices which get even more retro during happy hour, where you can can get 3 drinks and still have change out of a tenner.

The menu has a good selection of usual pub fare and there is a very well priced Sunday Lunch which costs a mere £12 for 3 courses. The food itself was tasty and in my view offered a value for money that is hard to find these days, particularly in a restaurant setting

The happy staff were attentive, efficient and engaging. This place is a little rough around the edges but with the effort they are putting into this still young business, its only going to keep getting better. We will certainly be back for...

Me and a friend went for the burger and beer deal for £6 on Tuesday. Upon our arrival at 18:40 we were informed that the chef had popped out for ten minutes. Not a major issue we ordered the burger and beer deal paid our £12 and sat down with our beers. 10, 20, 30minutes passed with no sign of the chef after around 35 minutes I went to the bar and asked if the chef had returned, to which I was informed he had indeed not. I explained to the member of staff behind the bar that we couldn't wait any longer with no guarantee when he would return and asked for a refund. Now although perfectly acceptable I was a little surprised that he proceeded to refund the difference between the burger and beer deal and the drinks, after all I really don't feel a chef should be disappearing for over half an hour during food service. We decided to host our own Christmas party with friends and children. We hired the Moxon room and decided on take up the offer of a Buffett they provided. I’m so pleased we did because we were able to spend all our time together celebrating Christmas and the Buffett was brought into the room at our chosen time. The food was delicious! The staff were amazing and a special thank you to Beccy who was extremely helpful and kind throughout the booking process. We can’t wait to do the same again next year!
