Lovely place in a very unlikely location - in the middle of some trading estates! We were waiting for a hire car to be ready and were pleasantly surprised to find an independent coffee shop nearby, bonus! Lovely interior with lots of logs - so you'd think there'd be a fire but I couldn't see one! A little odd but it's a nice aesthetic. Comfy seats with lots of room even if it got busy, and choice of different seating areas - made it feel quite cozy. We were just there for a coffee, but I think that it does means as well, and there's a bar too, so lots to choose from! They had four non dairy milks which is impressive and had your standard seasonal drink offerings, all pretty good. Cake selection was pretty good - overgenerous portions, but I expect most people won't mind! 😉 It wasn't very busy but we saw quite a lot of people going there as we left. Even though it wasn't busy, the barista did unfortunately forget the cake we ordered but everyone makes mistakes. They brought it over when we reminded them. Surprisingly nice little place, if you're ever there it's somewhere to go!

The Black Sheep pub linked to The Lodge Bristol only offer pizza for an evening meal option which I assumed meant they do pizza well. Not in my experience. The Buffalo mozzarella, parmesan and fresh basil pizza was served completely swimming in a crazy amount of cheese. Overloaded and extremely salty. The dough was OK in the centre but stale and hard on the crust. A disappointing experience. After advising the manager (Carlos) I was offered a replacement or refund. No issues, dealt with very professionally and to my complete satisfaction.

What a difference a few months can make to a cafe. This as a stand alone cafe/coffee shop compares well with anything I've visited around Bristol. Coco-loca is superb, a must try smoothie. Keep up the good work!!

I popped in here with my daughter for lunch, as we had checked into the Aztec hotel next door for a spa weekend. Well, the customer service was poor, we felt as though we were being a hinderance when we asked if they were still serving food & then on telling us that they were still serving, we took a menu, only to be informed when we went back to order, that what we wanted had gone, on choosing a second & third meal, we were told again that, they didn’t have it! Wouldn’t it have been helpful if she had informed us beforehand what had gone, then we would not have wasted all of our times?! Unfortunately, we had booked in there for dinner also, as it was part of our hotel package. On returning that same evening, we are sorry to say that our experience wasn’t much better. The food was bland, customer service not much better than before, apart from one lady, of whom I wish now that I asked her name, because she was the only person who actually made us feel welcome. Thankfully, our meal in the hotel’s Curious Kitchen restaurant the following evening, more than made up for our...

Nice food, ruined by terrible service. We walked in, and waited 5 minutes for the staff to acknowledge us (which should have been a warning sign). I asked for two cakes and a hot drink. I was given the cakes, and then waited 10 minutes, and for the people to be served behind me, and their hot drinks made first, and then corrected, as they were given the wrong drinks, then I was asked if I needed serving. I told them I was waiting for the mocha I ordered. They then asked if I wanted a big or small one... 5 minutes later, they threw a small paper cup mocha at me....No apology for taking 15 minutes and making everyone else drinks first, didn't even upgrade it to a large for the inconvenience of keeping me waiting for 15 minutes whilst they served literally everyone else their drinks... Or put it in a ceramic cup... Just threw a paper cup at me. Disgusting service. I was hoping I could go back as it's relatively local to me... But...
