Went here as a couple for a birthday meal, tiger prawns for the starter were nice but no finger bowl so had to ask for this. My main course was awful, I ordered the sea bass with a side of roast potatoes (on staff recommendation) and it was awful. The dish was basically a fried fillet of sea bass (too dry) with some prawns (tasteless) on the top & very watery spinach - no sauce. The whole thing was dry and tasted of absolutely nothing, I asked the staff about a sauce as there was simply no flavour and they said it’s dry and they recommend sides! The recommendation of side I had was roast potatoes which again were awful. I left nearly all of it and only ate what I did because I was hungry because we’d waited so long in between courses. The wait for food and drinks is way too long. My partner had the calamari to start which was average at best and the pepperoni pizza which was okay but very greasy. We were offered a free desert for the problem with my dinner and my partner was offered one for free too because of it being his birthday, they said I was the 3rd person to complain about the sea bass that night and I said it was so bad it should be removed down the menu. The deserts were nice. It was very busy and the staff were working hard, it isn’t the waiting staffs fault that the food was so bad but I would advise not to go We wouldn’t go back I did pay my bill with the added service charge & we did have the 2 free deserts, to be honest this didn’t compare to the actual price of the dish and the side dish which were quite honestly inedible. It’s a shame as it’s lovely in CenterParcs and the restaurant is in a nice spot but in our opinion it’s overpriced, poor quality & you have to wait a...

Booked a table two days before for 6 people for lunch, and were all very excited to try it out. Turned into one BIG mistake.
Greeted at the door by an incredibly rude, stressed and pushy manager, the other staff were also being blunt and rude. Menu looked great with lots of promising ‘Gluten Free’ options. When seated we were told there were no GF pizza bases, and only risotto or burgers available. Then told, after walking around for a few minutes trying to get the attention of a member of staff, a pasta dish was gluten free however when double checking they stated the sauce contained wheat flour therefore not suitable for Celiacs. There was also very little information regarding nut allergies and very little care from staff. The environment is NOT relaxing, a high contrast from the Centre Parcs environment. Have never felt less cared for from a restaurant and members of staff. On top of this, the server handed our drinks to us with his dirty hands covering the entire rim of the glasses. Managed to finish our drinks and then left before ordering mains because it was truly unbelievable.
If you are looking for a quiet relaxing lunch or dinner with helpful and caring staff, look elsewhere. Alternatively if you are looking for a loud, busy place to eat with activities for children, and with no one having any allergies this is the place.
A bad way to end our Centre...
Read moreUtterly disappointing experience at Amalfi in Woburn Center Parcs. • Food quality was ridiculously poor. The calamari fritti were just leftover tentacles and scraps, hidden in heavy soggy batter, not even cleaned properly (grit still on them). Pizza was pale and undercooked, with no sign of a proper Italian crust - no idea what they’re doing with that oven. • Service was clueless. In the first 3 minutes three different servers tried to take our order before we’d even opened the menu, then vanished for 15 minutes when we actually needed them. • Table arrangement incredibly poor. Tiny tables, more suited to a café than an Italian restaurant. If two people each have a pizza there’s literally no space for the plates. Packed so tightly that kids were practically on our backs, no room for servers to pass - yet bizarrely half the restaurant was empty and perfectly laid out. • Dirty cutlery on arrival.
On top of that, the wine list is a complete joke. The same Picpoul de Pinet served in the French restaurant downstairs costs nearly double here - both by the glass and by the bottle. Clearly from the same provider (I checked the labels), with absolutely no justification for the markup.
In short, overpriced, careless and a waste of time. Plenty of other places on site do much better - give Amalfi...
